Patching problems,please help me.

Hi there,

I have been away for a short while with work and when I got home I noticed that UO has launched p57,right?

When I klick my christmas presents I get Mega cliloc errors.
I checked my patching and noticed that Im still at 6.0.11.0 (patch 71).

According to UO Herald I should have 6.0.12.0

I have tried to delete and force to patch again but I dont get any higher version than 6.0.11.0.

Any ideas of what to do?

Maybe your firewall is blocking the patch/publish? I know before publish 57 went live we had a patch and I think another patch after pub 57 went live. Or if you run windows vista maybe your not set for Admin. Try running the program as Admin. if on Vista and see if that helps out.

Hi there,

I have Windows XP and Norton.Now when you mentioned it,I noticed that maybe I didnt get the patch before P57 either.I have tried to delete the patch to force it again but I always end up with the version mentioned above.

After patching (forced one after delete),I get message saying error during session...

This is the first time of my 11 years of playing UO that I dont patch properly.
Any other idea?

I had same problem and had to reinstall UO. I saved all my macros to desk top and replaced them after if reloaded it and it patched right away and I can now see all my gift choices and snow on the ground.

I never use the word "reinstall" lightly, because I realize it's a huge pain in the butt. So believe me, I hate to say it, but I talked to someone in-game who had the cliloc errors; they fixed their issue with a reinstall, too.

So for anyone else who reads this-- a reinstall is shaping up to be a reliable fix.

While not widespread (it seems), this bug has definitely affected more than a few players.

If you have this bug, please consider submitting a bug report. There is no mention anywhere that Mythic is yet aware of this bug. While they do read this forum, they can't read each and every thread. The feedback form is your most direct means of communicating with Mythic, not this forum.

Mmmm,

I agree.I only reinstall when I buy a new computer or if I install on my working comp when Im on a work trip...I always uninstall when I get home again.Dont want to risk playing from work.

Nowadays with fast ethernet connection the patching time is not that long.
But I remember the "fun" when I was on a old 28k modem long time ago.
