Patching from the UO download on the site?

I haven't been able to play UO until recently and now that i've got a laptop, I decided i'd download UO instead of installing from a very old disc.

The problem is, is it is currently patching.. it is at 6.0.5.0 and i'm wondering how much more there is to go given that I thought the latest version was 7.something?

Which brings me to another point (or suggestion!); shouldn't the latest version of UO be downloadable from the website, rather than quite an old one that is taking ages to patch?

I made a thread about this a week or so ago. Got no response and apparently there's been no change in the version of the downloader.
