Don't parrot perches count as an "add on"? If so, I don't believe those count towards your total available lockdowns (add-ons such as gozas didn't used to count as lockdowns from what I recall). I'd have to double check on Test Center.
However, apart from the lockdown issue, because the parrot perches block movement you would not be able to utilize all the possible tile area of the "normal" floor areas of a full 18X18 grid house, but you could get close. You would need a minimum number of tiles dedicated to supports to hold your upper floors, and if you placed a teleporter tile in one corner of each floor, and carefully worked your way back towards the teleporter leaving one clear tile in front of the teleporter to be able to move back and forth to trigger the teleporter, you could have quite a large number of parrots places, and a house you could not use for anything else, if that is what you are asking.

For myself it is just 40 or so on my rooftop, cuz their perches are blockers. And I surely do not like my parrots to be separated on different floors, looking forlorn, from away from all the rest of em.
I can nicely fit 40-45 around my 18 x 18 roof around the outter edge on all 4 sides, leaving lotsa room for trees, fountain and lawn chairs for myself. And for me to utter *GUARDS GUARDS* at em all ...to set ALL of em off, to squak at me all at once chattering incessantly back to me. I am easily entertained by my parrot birdies.
I bring guests up there from time to time to *entertain them* with parrot mega squaks in unison....I laugh & they FLEE from the noise & lag me parrot birdies all make when I get em to all to squak in UNISON all at once. rolleyes:
Then I go down to my 3rd floor release all my chicken lizards all at once, feed em all and have endless sounds of unison BOKBOKBOK ..to wit the parrots on the above floor ........also say in unison sounding like they too are chickenz.
Then I go play an oldies rl song called ...........THE ART OF NOISE !
Hey Skylark, ye will be delighted to know that 'CASTOR SKYLARK' has the most senior special spot placement of all me parrot birdies on me rooftop cuz that is my oldest first gifted to me parrot !
'Frosty Skylark' is in the middle of em all though.
She is not too far away from parrot birdie, 'Imakelmo' and 'ImaShalimar' she is in...with the middle agers.

Ha, that parrot is one of the oldest on Siege (with all the vets who have closed accounts, it may in fact be the oldest by recorded age now). Other than the parrots I named after rl rock bands, most of my parrots esp those given to me are named after whomever gave them to me, or guild leaders or members I had over time. So my parrots kinda read more like a who's who of Siege Perilous anyhow.

Well she was lacking in parrot birdies, on THIS shard, so I felt she just had to have parrots on SIEGE too. Molly and Miranda2 parrots, are now located elsewhere, in Iantown.

How old are they? just for curiosity. Molly's parrot is 170 weeks.
The parrots only age if they are placed on a perch. QZ's parrot was obtained not long after ML launched (this was back when we were all like "wow, cool" about them, as with all the then-new stuff
). The rare color parrots didn't show up until a while later, I believe the venerable 'CASTOR SKYLARK' is one of the "common" parrot colors - a sort of greenish-yellow.There were of course some people who had parrots if not from the day ML launched, close to it, but so many accounts have been closed since then, and the parrots while obtained a little sooner, have not aged continuously on an active account, as QZ's have.

I have a 200 some week old parrot named stolenfromgerbeler that Im try to sell if anyone likes.

Never tried that, course it may all be too tall to permit it to happen tho, cuz the blockin' perches are kinda tall in and of themselves. Might be worth tryin though.
BTW if ya ever want your Trinsic bridge spot back mister, lemme know.
And does anyone know if the new Trinsic town music is on ... music box loots ?
