Does the paroxysmus swampy have the equivalent 20% damage absorption as the Exceptional dragon barding deeded swampy, for a warrior (or anyone for that matter)?
Someone told me that it's the same protection but don't have to keep using the barding deeds on paroxy swampy.

I think the paroxy swampy only gives you 10% damage reduction.

But it never breaks and never needs replacing.

Thanks, but Can this be confirmed? How much damage reduction does a proxy swampy give in PvM? (I know,no benefit to PvP)

Anyone know for sure what the damage reduction is? 10% or 20%?
Thanks

From UO Guide

Paroxy Swampy -

<blockquote><hr>

Summons a dark green swamp dragon that bonds to you upon summoning. Comes with unbreakable swamp dragon armour and GM wrestling, tactics, and resist.

Swampy Barding -

<blockquote><hr>

A Dragon Barding Deed is a deeded item that is crafted by blacksmiths and used on tame, unarmored Swamp Dragons.

The armor will provide the rider of the dragon with extra protection in combat. This is done by absorbing a percentage of all damage received. Exceptional dragon barding allows a Swamp Dragon to absorb 20% of the damage inflicted upon the rider, while non-exemption barding provides only a 10% reduction. The damage reduction only works against monsters, not in PvP combat.

Thats all that I could find.
It doesn't state that the paroxy's is exceptional.

I do remember someone testing it and showing that the paroxy's was equal to the non exceptional.

There's someone that keeps telling me Parox drag comes with DCI as well? Is this true? I find that hard to believe since it's not said ANYWHERE. Some testing results on this and the damage absorption would be great.

It is 10% for the Paroxy Swampy, and yes I have tested it. The benefit of the Paroxy Swampy is that the armor can't be destroyed and the dragon itself comes insta bonded, along with being GM in all of it's skills.

It is said in Japan that the damage reduction of Paroxysmus Swamp Dragons is just between normal and exceptional bardings, that is, about 15%.
