paragon meer mage problem

Ok so I took my archer to fight the meer today (with my newly made repond xbow) and I decide to fight this paragon meer mage !
well he casts on me and I start getting the message insects are biting me for 10hp ok np kill mage and try to heal with aids... don't work,pots dont work ,chiv don't work etc etcs so i go to house try loging out and back in ... still taking 10 hps long story short and 107 bandages later i finally go to healers and let myself die and rez and it finally stops!

Am I missing something ? what gives or is this some bug?

use to just invise to remove it..not sure if that still works..

Or cast flame bolt on yourself also did it...

You must use fire to get rid of them, either a Magic arrow or fireball will do it, or as a warrior, carry a torch with you.

You can buy torches from the provisioner. These simple objects will chase those insects away.

I had the same problem when my villains first fought them.

I have a couple of blessed torches I will use them ... its funny in all the times i have killed meers this is the first time i have had that happen .. live and learn lol thanks for the info everyone

Or use a fire bomb made from liquer and oil cloth. I think that still works.

Dunno what an abc archer is. And to heck with torches, pain in the arse there. I just target another meer mage, when they cast fireball at ya the swarm goes. Or I wait until she poisions me and use cleanse by fire (pally). Either way that solves it and no additional macro needed to drop bow and stick torch in hand, and no shot missed.

Not really. The ABC doesn't make much sense if you are an archery/bushido/chivalry archer. Redundancy in the archery part.

Bushchiv, Bushalry, Chivido all sound better.

I had no problem at all killing para meer mage - with my mage. Have to try with archer.

I kinda like their attacks though! Only see them on paragons, cause normal ones drop too fast, but the insects and the calling of forest animals is neat.

May these could be made into spells of a "naturalism" (or the like) skill, so we can build druids

Huh! So that's how you get rid of those little swarms. I too thought it was a "bug" when the swarm was still attacking me 10 minutes later.

I did get a black paragon chest from the paragon meer mage though.
