Para Taming question.

Was just thinking, with the new changes and the fact it don't really matter what skills a pet spawns with now...
...Is the old Paralyse / Tame method now a viable option again?

It is if you want to waste training points putting the stats you lost back on it

There are much better options like honour, mysticism sleep spell, spellweaving ethereal voyage, bard peacing and you can even use invis to keep breaking aggro to stop it hitting you.

Personally I have never been in the "don't para tame" crowd. I have been para taming Cu's for a LONNNNGGG time now and have gotten a lot of 4.5+ rated ones, including a butt load of 600 hp ones.. but hey.. to each their own.

If it's true that para drops stats (has it been established?) it might be useful to get lower slot pets.
