Greetings.

I understand that elements - derived from the Lore of Ultima VIII: Pagan - have been used in the Great Lakes EM Arc.

That said is there a Primer or Summarization of the Fiction surrounding this Arc? If so I would be interested in reading it.

Kinda. Out-of-date, though. You'll see that EM Malachi integrated elements from Ultima 8: Pagan with original elements (a group called the Demon Conclave) and stuff from the meta-fiction's In the Shadow of Virtue arc.

We named the EM story arc Blood Feud, because it involved us becoming involved in the internal issues of the "family" of elemental titans. We then talked EM Malachi into allowing us to use that as the "official" title of the arc, little-realizing at the time that it was basically the same as the game-wide In the Shadow of Virtue story arc.

Here is Martyna's compilation of primary documents related to and summaries of most of the EM events. Blood Feud Part I: Of Earth and Air is what will interest you most. After that, the elemental titans kinda receded into the background. Blood Feud I ended with us imprisoning the Elemental Titan of Earth (the Mountain King, I always forget their actual names). After that we killed the 3 generals of the EM-created Demon Conclave (Blood Feud II), and after we killed all 3 of the primary leaders of the Conclave, we moved into direct confrontations with Virtuebane himself (Blood Feud III).

If you want to see the Elemental Titan of Earth, make a GL character and go to the Compassion Shrine in Ilshenar, where he is imprisoned. As he is merely imprisoned and not dead, we may presume that he is free for appearances in the gamewide fiction should EA ever decide it's time for the Titans to appear there.

Great Lakes' Event Moderators deserve enormous credit for turning the In the Shadow of Virtue story arc into something that feels more immediate to the characters.

Thanks for the wiki plug, Galen ;)

This week's event summary should be up this weekend.

The references to Pagan pretty much only went as far as the names of Titans themselves and Vividos. Their interactions between the Titans themselves and humans are completely different from what a player would experience in Ultima VIII.

Stratos is rather benevolent towards gargoyles, although the gargoyles consider her to be trickster. She is was in direct conflict with Lithos, both in the distant past and the recent past. She is currently in hiding.

Lithos is trapped in a prison of light at the Compassion Shrine in Ilshenar. He escaped his previous prison through the fault in the Xenve An-Amo-Lem fortress.

Pyros has yet to be seen, but the Daemon Conclave (headed by Virtuebane) is trying to recreate a Scorched Ruby/Tongue of Flame so the titan can re-enter our world. The Conclave has most of the pieces it needs to accomplish this, but the Royal Spies have recently dealt them several setbacks...

Hydros has only been mentioned once or twice in passing.

As an aside, the Fellowship made an appearance three weeks ago...

Not a lot to tell, just yet.

IC we know there is a new group that says the follow the Virtues (never said which Virtues, since the Guardian has his own) and they dress in all-white plate. They fought against the Bane Chosen several times near Trinsic according to EM fiction.

One of them was with Ors when he commited suicide, potentially indicating he had "help."

They are represented as a white norse helm on the Order side of the Xenve An-amo-lem game board. This board shows the "progress" of good vs evil on GL.

Mm. I see.

Where can I find this board?
West of the underworld entrance, along the mountains.

Stand on this net thingie, and say "un or us."

Then proceed through the dungeon, via teleporters, until you get to the library room. There, stand on the right side (you will see where) and say "kal xen por."

Then proceed further through teleporters; I think there's only one place where you have an actual choice of how to proceed and it'll be obvious if you make the wrong choice.

When you get to the game board, formally known as "the observatory," you will know.
