Owned By Talismans and Transferring

It used to be that when you transferred with an Owned by Talisman that it would reset. I just transferred over to the Rares fest and both my talisman's stayed owned by the names on them. Anyyone know when and why this changed? Or did I miss something?

Owned by tags used to reset? Kinda defeats the purpose to me, but I wish I knew that back then.

I am 99% sure that after the transfer, the name will remain as it was (and not go back to "Owned by no one"), BUT it will change to the name of the next person to equip it after the Xfer, if that makes sense.
