Hate to say it, but they probably go for around 1.5 - 2M.

Petra, if you are mainly needing the +magery bonus on it for your crafter girl, I think I have some +14 magery spell books. It won't replace the "specialness" of the gift you lost, and won't have the other mods, but it is a cheap alternative to get most of the skill level bonus.

For some reason those books haven't had the demand as other artiifacts, I'm thinking maybe 1m especially considering they came out before the Scrappers which is a reasonable subsitute

Free, if I still have them. I dumped most of the crafted spell books on my free vendors in Zento a while back, but I had some +magery books stockpiled in my house, because I used them on Kestrel to be able to gate, I just need to look and see if any are left.

Well, I checked my books and it seems I recalled incorrectly. My books are +12 magery, the only books with 14 on them I have are 14% LRC. The highest skill bonus on the books I have is +12 and I think that may be the cap for crafted spell book skill bonuses, and 15% LRC is the highest LRC book I have, so I am guessing that might be the cap on LRC as well.

At any rate, by the time I had looked through my books to make this amazing discovery, you were in bed, and Terry said he had already taken out the scribe pen, and fixed you up with some +12 books.

That's the trouble with being half a world away, half my icqs, like your post, are timed at around 1.00am.

Terry appears to have burned up around 600 scrolls, but I've hunted high and low in the house and can't find what he's written, they must still be in his back pack. Grrr! I'll have to wait till he wakes up now.
