OT - WHAT A GAME

Okay I listened to the warriors and storm last weekend and I was on the edge of my seat during the last minutes of the game was shattered when the warriors got across with a min and half to go. But took heart it was not the end of us just meant warriors got in instead of another team (one I didn't like any way).

BUT They did it again this game was awesome Melbourne storm and broncos I actually thought the storm was done for then WOOT the thunder came out in the last section of the game.

Can't say I didnt think it would happen though, NZ own the Storm in Melb., only team that do really, knew the whole game the Storm were sucking hardcore, was just waiting (with dread) for the Warriors to steam roll them.

Can I ask two things?

1. Why dont you like the mighty Green Machine? Ok, I understand that any fan has a dislike for opposing teams, but you give the impression that you like us less than others...

2. You live in Kempsey, so why the Storm? Grew up in Melb maybe? Why not the Knights?

BUT They did it again this game was awesome Melbourne storm and broncos I actually thought the storm was done for then WOOT the thunder came out in the last section of the game.

Was happy to see Brisbane go, great finish, Storm are VERY lucky to still be in the comp, I think (unless they start to play well again) this week, their luck will run out.

I'm tipping the Warriors to win now, well, more hoping really, out of the 4 teams left I dislike them the least, and would be great to see big Ruben Wiki sent out a winner. Also it would be great for NZRL... could Australia handle our title going overseas for the first time?!?! Would probably be similar to '89, where to this day, some Sydneysiders still can't hack it (when the title first left Sydney, for greener pastures ).

Answer: Actually when I was a little kid I did like Raiders even had me a little Jacket I use to ride when horse riding. And I do not totally dislike them they are just not my team. If I was going to dislike teams it would be Manly and Bronco's I have just always disliked them - which is great cause Hubby goes for Manly. So can't you just see what It will be like in our house if it gets down to Manly v's Storm.

Don't mind the Knights but again not my team and nope didn't grow up in Melbourne and I use to go for Penrith too.......why cause Matty and Mark Guyer are my second cousins. And yes I agree that they are lucky to still be in the but you know what I will take it any way *grins* and I kind of hope it gets down to Storm v's Warriors too, I have backed both teams pretty much all the way through with footy tipping.

But I don't want our title going overseas either so storm better win if it does get down to Storm v's Warriors. Although Storm v's Manly in our house would be explosive........lots of beer, BBQ and screaming.

soooooooooooooooooo put out I tell yah I missed the game but The Storm crushed Cronulla 28-0. I got caught up with family and missed it.

BUT I WILL NOT BE MISSING NEXT WEEK, who will it be Storm V Manly or Storm V Warriors???

I am so bummed out went shopping yesterday and I was so going to deck out my little one in storm gear but they have NONE I could not believe it every other team including *BOO HISSS* Manly but no melbourne storm - I guess they figure we don't support them this far north.

And hubby *grumbles* stuck a manly jumper in the trolly for Maddison so I will have to relent and let her wear it on the day unless I can accidently let it find the bleach before hand hehehehehehe

The grand final was dismal a really pathetic game so disappointed in the storm, sucks for Matty that it was his last game and just such a huge loss it was like the storm just did not try.

The BBQ beer and company however made it a little easier to swalllow such a huge loss. I so would have been spewing if I had of paid for tickets though.

Yeh, Manly just had to much for them, wanted it more. I wouldnt feel to sorry for MG, he won last year, and in 99. Sure not the ideal way to go out... at all... but it had to happen to either him or Menzies, after losing last year, and since it was his last game too, he kinda deserved it.

I would of felt much more sorry for Manly had they lost... not that I really care tooo much, its nice to be able to watch a big game and not have your heart in your mouth for once lol...

Compared to the NRL final, HOW GOOD were the VB Cup and Toyota Cup golden point finals!?!?! Cliffhangers to say the least! The VB Cup was only 30 seconds or so short of being the longest league game in history, and the mighty GREEN MACHINE produced one of the most memorable grand final moments ever to claim the first Toyota Cup! Well done boys!

MMM yeh, there is nothing worse than sitting in a stadium in enemy territory after your team has lost lol, let alone a grand final (not that I would know what thats like, I was only like 5 when we last lost a grand final, 1991). Shark park in week 1 of this years finals series was interesting lol, walking through Cronulla after the game getting made fun of the whole way back to the hotel lol. Ahhhh well... all you gotta do is ask the shire folk when they last won the premiership... that shuts em up rather quick

I don't know it just didn't even seem like the storm where there it was like they almost didn't try........And I feel sorry for matty cause he family and it just would have been awesome for him and the family watching to see them take home a win on his last game.

And isn't the manly guy just going over seas? So technically not his last game he is not retiring completely.

I think we all kind of lost heart in the game when the second half started, we hoped Storm would pull off another come back but it just wasn't happening so we ended up feasting on bacon sausages bread rolls and potato salad and playing with the kids.........IT WAS GOOD.
