I agree Skylark he seemed to have his own personal life right on track and in order unlike many famous folks that are a mess.. or end up messing up their personal lives so badly.. as if never playin with a full deck some of em.
He always seemed to have it together.
I never liked Dirty Dancing kept thinking ......NOOB ! HAHA I know one of my daughters was nuts about that movie and him at the time. But then she was also nuts about bonjovi and whitesnake and etc. She was at 'that age'.
I did like nearly all of his later maturer films as a seasoned actor, though. DDancing as a film just never won me over. But any of those later films of his I have seen MORE than once...and those are way better films too.
Fatal illnesses are always tragic. For someone *my age* it almost seems more of a shame, sorrow I meant, that some have to go at some younger ages. I always tell my husband *ya know for as many decades as I have gotten TO LIVE a relatively long healthy and a full life. I thank God I got to live this many years that if I died today, be like no regrets just glad I got this many decades when some people unfortunately, get so few healthy years, to live on this earth.
Just sad, when some whom are younger, get stuck with something so fatal shortening their own full lives. But it happens. I think he led his own personal life on a decent track, esp. as a film star type, which is more folks can most achieve ever be they actors or rockstars politicians or regular folks.
