OSI homes and no owners

Well it has been quite a while and a few changes were made to homes decaying that were containing vendors or npc's.
The normal decay then the house switches to osi owned for a time so owners of the vendors have a chance to catch their items and funds before deletion.
The time duration I am not sure of, but it does seem a bit long thought to the owner of said vendor may have another opinion on that hehe.
As for the no name homes from past RtB's.......
Mesanna and crew did a great deal of dropping a good deal of them but many players here are still finding more...
To be honest some feel this was not enough but forget that other things do need to be done for the game and take a great deal of time and will pull away from this.
This is not that they forget to do it but the budgeting of time to this has to be balanced with whats to be done for the normal day to day play of the game.
Mesanna has said send her the name of shard, co-ords of this and facit.
As with everything this will take time.. and might I add to the mix some things they are doing are of greater concern then unowned homes.

I heard the no name houses were staff houses. I believe it because all the ones I found/find are in Felucca. They are not RTB houses. OSI simply means the game owns the house because the account was not paid for 90+ days and had rental vendors inside that belong to different account. The rules said the rental vendor owners would have 9 days to collect their gold/items before the house fell.

Some OSI owned houses decayed and refreshed for years but the devs seemed to have fixed that, so now they may take a couple of weeks to actually fall.

The only way to prevent OSI owned houses and waiting a couple weeks for them to fall is to remove rental vendors from the game entirely.

The houses with no owner line (99% of which are in fel) are houses that were at one time owned by BANNED players (one that was on Pacific was banned for an exploit and had a locked down game cursor visible in it, but it was taken down last year or so). The GM's then lost track of them.

I remember having a conversation with I think it was Chris "Binky" Launius about a decade ago concerning a Trammel castle on Pacific that was in such a state that they put on David "Orbeus" Abelt's account. They were trying an experimental auction for in game gold to buy the castle, the winning bidder who bid a rediculous amount ended up having duped gold according to rumor so the castle to this day still says Owner: Orbeus.

Most of the OSI owned houses are from banned accounts. They are not always b/c of an expired account w/ unresolved vendor issues.

We didnt say that Angel...

What we were saying is many seen are the result of vendors, not all. We have to remembr this is all automated... there is not a real person operating this.
The dev only step in if the players complain and then they take a look to see if the reason is due to other concerns.
it was the reason they had the mass dropping the last time... the housing system had many gliches and they needed to purge and restart the counters by hand on many that were known to be gliched.

Give them time to get settled and work out the bugs... I am quite sure Mesanna and the Dev are awaire of the concerns of players over these houses.. plus we have to remember they need to take into factor priority of need to be done things too. But there was a statement of that they were goingto get in as many bug fixes as possible ...so this is on the to do list.
