(ornate axe swing speed check); How about some new weapons for us Macers?

Now I'm a little confused with the swing speed. Stratic's site states that ornate axes hit 1.25 at 150 stam & 30ssi. Is this still correct? I have read a conflicting statement that as of Publish 40, the ornate axe wouldn't hit 1.25 unless at 180 stam & 60ssi (according to the formula).
Diamond Mace would need 150 stam & 40 ssi to hit the 1.25. Or at 180 stam & 5ssi for the 1.25.

The tricky part (and the part that makes the diff) is the rounding of the decimals. Because rounding up will make the swing slower, yet rounding down will make it faster. Can someone check the math please?

(note: original poster was comparing Diamond maces & ornate axes)

not sure but i have a 35 ssi ornate axe and 140 dex/stam
it seems to swing as fast as the soul seeker, so im guessing its 1.25

keep in mind that ssi is very rare mod on runic hammers

i used up 12 bronze and 1 agapite and only got 1 with 35 ssi, 3 with 30 and 4 or 5 with 25.

There's a post farther down in this forum that shows everything about swing speed. Stratics Weapon page is not up-to-date.

As far as I know, you cannot craft an Ornate Axe with more than SSI 30%, but even if you could, you'd need SSI of 51% to reach 1.25 with an Ornate Axe if your Stamina was 150. Since SSI only goes in increments of 5, it would actually have to be SSI 55%.

It also looks like a weapon like the Diamond Mace that swings at 3.00 seconds will go down to 1.25 seconds if your Stamina is 150 and the weapon has SSI 30%.
3.00 seconds = 12 Ticks
150 Stamina = 5 Ticks

(12-5) * 100/(100+30) = 7 * .77 = 5.39, rounded down to 5 ticks. 5/4 = 1.25.

As far as new weapons go, all the weapon skills were covered by the last expansion (ML), so all seams fair to me as it is now. All that being said, I'm sure there will be plenty of new weapons whenever SA is launched.

Bows are different. Ash adds SSI 10% that stacks with any crafted or looted SSI, so you could end up with SSI 40% on a bow.

I have a heavy crossbow with SSI 35% and my archer with 150 Stamina definitely shoots slower than 2 seconds. The formula for the heavy crossbow with SSI 35% and Stamina 150 says the weapon should fire at 2.75 seconds. That looks about right to me.

Yes, the diamond mace in your calculation is right. I had a chart and wrote the wrong calculation for 150 stam w/30 ssi.
So it's impossible to get an ornate axe at 1.25 speed. The fastest attainable is 1.5 speed. So at 150 stamina & 30 ssi, it is almost futile to go higher in stamina. Well, unless I want a little more of a stamina buffer.

Maybe Stratics can update the calculator soon. It messes me up.
