Origin Store purchase didn't go as planned

I have bought items from the Origin Store before and their item descriptions are accurate with what my money actually buys. The description that I will show below lead me to believe I would get one of each of the following. Hooded Shroud of Shadows;Green Soulstone,Charger of the Fallen. For $10,I thought it to be a fair deal. I used the code and got the token to find out that I only had a choice of one of the three items. Please EAMythic,make your item descriptions better so I am not made to believe I am getting three items for $10 when in fact,I am only getting one. Thanks.

what honestly gets me on that description is the part that says "And many others long lost to the world of Ultima", ive never seen them give anything but the shroud, mount or soulstone.

The description is misleading. I would suggest to Mythic to fix this ASAP and a CS should be contacting Dag Nabbit with an apology of the mess on their end.

Sadly, I've got to agree with the OP. Had I not already known what the particular token does, I would probably have believed that it would have provided one of each item, plus an addtional item or two. It does make you wonder why it lists the only three things it provides, and also the "and many other..." when it clearly doesn't.

While I'm on the subject of Origin though... where are the Armor Engraving Tools and the combo pack of Gothic and Rustic?

Similar confusing I find the package Stygian Abyss + 30 days GTC. There is nowhere mentioned, that this cannot be applied to an existing account.
At least in the German store (were I get redirected automatically) it says:
Ultima Online Extension Pack + 30 days game time.
And some more common text, but no warning, that this is only for new accounts. (Extension usually indicates, that you can extend something existing.)
And TBH I don't understand, why they make a difference there in the offers between new accounts and upgraders - why should an existing account not use the upgrade to lurk into the game again, supported by the included game time?

Not only is the description misleading, they misspell "Charger of the Fallen."

I know how the Legacy Token works because of UOGuide, which, coupled with UO Stratics, has been an invaluable source of collected information. I regularly check out both before making a microtransaction at Origin.

I ended up getting the green soulstone. I lost my others about a couple of years ago when I let my account lapse. Though I wouldn't have paid the $10 just for the soulstone. My necro would have looked good sporting the shroud and the charger. Hopefully whoever is in charge of that website will sharpen up the descriptions so we can know exactly what we are buying.

Just recently recalled a very similar discussion being brought up in the past, raising the exact same concerns over this exact item. While the description clearly suggests that the buyer will get all those items, my main beef with the description is this part:

"The Ultima Online Legacy Token opens up a whole treasure trove of legendary premium items: the Green Soulstone, the Hooded Shroud of Shadows, the Charge of the Fallen, and many others long lost to the world of Ultima."

As you had found out, despite this description, you really only open up a treasure trove of three items, the soulstone, shroud, and the charger.

What shard do you play? I have several shrouds that I don't use and might even have a spare charger or two. If you play on a shard I have these on I'll be more than happy to set you up
I haven't really logged into the game in months and am not sure how much longer I'll stay around, so I'm not worried about a few pixels that might help someone else enjoy the game that brought me so many hours of pleasure.

I mainly play on LS,but don't worry about it. I have been idoc hunting lately and I am sure I'll kick up a shroud or two before it's done.

I'm sure you're right though. Idoc hunting has filled up a Castle and a Keep for me

What also is bothering me in the shop, is that there are no bulk purchases (i.e. 5x 1 month game time) - you have to purchase one, pay, purchase another one, pay and so on. (But you could add 1 1 month, 1 3 month and one 6 month GTC to the basket w/o problems. What is the sense behind?
Also there are no incentives for UO codes at all, i.e. buy 5, get 1 free etc. or with a total purchase of 100$ you get a bonus of 10$ ...

As it seems, EA is still very unwilling to earn money via Ultima Online store purchases.

Good luck with EA sharpening much of anything up about UO store (just being realistic, not negative). They won't even put Japanese promotional items that sell well in Japan in our store. It seems to me that they are passing up good ways to make more income...I thought this was a business and business is for one thing, to make money? I wonder if they have one person with nervous spasms, dark circles under their eyes sitting behind a screen clenching their teeth as they do the 'entire' EA store systems. I visualize Milton Waddams from Office Space (the stapler guy) running EA stores.
