Opening Old Account

I decided to open an old account. All my characters are red on the account, hence why I was hesitant to open it up.

I decided to so I could maybe get some vet rewards, and get a 6 year account instead of a 2 year account.

However, when I enter my username and password it asks me for my product code. What if I Don't have this?

Am I just SOL?

Will my old characters still be on the account, or will it be like starting a made from scratch account again?

You were asked for a User name, PW & product code where?? No product Code is ever asked for in UO. Still the same opening screen as always asking for Account name & PW.
Old chara's will/should still be there & anything that they had on them or in the Bank.

Are you sure you're using the Existing Account section?

I have a guildmate that told me she opened up her old account again, but had to use the Trial Registration code to activate it. Her account was wiped clean and she didn't have the account age level she had before. Thus it seems very old accounts might still have their account info on file, but are treated as new accounts when activated. I did, however, recently activate an account I hadn't played since 2003 and it had all the characters available. I do, however, religiously login to all characters whenever EA has one of those free week promotions so not sure if that has any bearing on keep an old account intact.

Ah well. That sucks. Thanks for the help anyways! I still have the disc I believe, but the box is long gone! lol

Oh well, wishful thinking I suppose. I just have a few more months until I can ride an ethy anyways.

Problem solved!

Actually I entered the wrong password for the account. Instead of telling me I had a wrong password, it said Welcome *Username*, (If this is not you click here).

Then asked me for a product code.

So apparently instead of giving the wrong password on old accounts, it tries to get you to enter a product key instead!

Glad I tried again! Once again thanks for the help!

Well i have found when i tried to check acct mgmt it tells me the same free trial bull.I found myself closing it out and going back and it went right in no problem. So it's a small issue that needs to be fixed.
