Why in the boards do ppl constaly complain about a class not being good at something when you get form 6 to 8 slots.

Its not like it takes long to train a char in UO and thats one of its good points.

Exept taming, if they are slightly overpowered so be it , I in 10 years never finished a tamer, they deserve it for all the boring and hard wrok.

Or do we have noobs? here playing you, if so thats awsome but vets that are perma noob need some help.,

What's wrong with being a perma newb? Actually, when I returned from my break, it wasn't a month later when I was giving advice about how people who hadn't quit in the last 10 years should go about training their characters.

Then again, I had really good advice given to me to start out with.

And no, tamers aren't any more overpowered than any other super-class. My sampire can do things I'd never dream of doing with my tamer. And neither my sammy or tamer are good in champs, but that's more because I haven't practiced.

One of my favorite object lessons was about a month after I started, I was out hunting with a friend. I had a samurai (no necro) and she had a tamer. We made a bet with each other. Within 10 minutes, whomever made the most gold in certain gold-rich environments won the bet. My samurai beat her tamer in every spawn zone we chose.

I also did the same as my mage with other people's greater dragon's in other-Moonglow. I would cast nature's fury and flame strike everything, and the other people would ressurect their greater dragons (spawn was rough that day). Again, I won the day.

So no, I don't think tamers are overpowered. Otherwise, I'm with you on that one.

yes for the record I discovered today that my dexer does put out more dps than a tamer with a greater drag but the trade off is the dragon can tank a little better and is not gonna die the moment it gets blood oathed.

Every type of temp if made to work right, should be able to do something htat another can not, I anybody is reading this then please have fun with all your slots, it adds alot to your gameplay.


I run with 7 slots

got a my mage multi class, my sampire, a pvp archer, 2 mules, a bard mage fisher, and a tamer in probgress ofr the last 3 years lol thats just on atlantic I play other classes on other shards for fun as well and even play sometimes with my dexer miner stealther on seige

tamers are not overpowered in pvm
people complianing about the new pets they keep getting and how ridiculously strong they are are mostly speaking from a pvp point of view

instead of seeing who can kill the most spawn and make the most gold
put your dexxer up against the tamers dragon
then come repost the bet you won on who would collect the most deathrobes

I know tons of people, including me, which simply dont want to use twinks for actions which are standard in every other mmorpg. And generaly dont like to twink because they indentify themselfes with the char ingame and not with the items or gathered gold.
UO, formerly known as the game with ultimate freedom forces the user to relog everytime you want to do basic stuff like fishing or crafting?

Soulstones with a 24 hour timer arent a solution. If i want to craft with my char for 5 minutes, i have to wait 24 hours to get back in a dungeon?
Stupid.
