One of the most exciting days for UO ruined

I was excited all week for the lotto, I spent a lot of gold on the one spot I wanted and I won, I used gold from my main account to buy the tickets and traded the deed I won to my second account to place, This was my plan all along. For some reason I keep getting the message "You must have a deed for this plot of land in order to build". The deeds in my backpack? I have 500k in gold piles in my bank, bought a new house placement tool and tried every square with everything from a 15*15 to a 7*7 and classic designs also and nothing will work.

Im giving up for now, maybe it’s a bug, maybe I was not supposed to win or maybe they will revert, IDK

To me, The very worst part of this is no mention of the problem from EA..How could you not monitor this day? Or at the very least post something saying there is a issue? Or what we need to do? Your office might be closed on Sunday but Stratics works?..I really don’t understand what’s going on and anything would have been nice.

I did try paging, like im sure countless others have, I received a canned response...

Nah, When Trammel opened on Ches it was reverted 2x, try competing for spots and winning them 3x in a row. Lots of folks lost out during those days.

You've got your ownership papers and plenty of time for them to work out any kinks.

You are the owner of the plot, that's the major thing!

The lottery worked fine. It was a lottery if you spent billions thats your own fault. You have a bunch of people that are making up things to try to get a revert so they get another chance. It was on test for over a month and worked fine. As far as transferring....it takes several tries to drop the plot. Remember normal housing rules take effect as soon as you place that plot. You drop it its your own fault. They can check every plot and see that everything worked fine. I had 2 people tell me that they lied over general chat to stir up crap on GL. They did purchase tickets and look what a few words can do.....get everything stirred up. Everything worked fine i was there during test and it went well. Dont get upset if you didnt win. IT IS A LOTTERY. Good job Dev team i didnt win what i wanted on GL. Im pissed about that, but like i said it was a lottery. I took the risk and lost. Move on and quit whining that it is the worst day in your life. It is impossible to do a revert now. Lots of people have traded houses and spent 100s of mils buying plots. It is impossible to have something of this size have a few individual screw ups that are a polayers doing. Congrats to all the people that won on every shard this is a great thing giving people a chance to own a high volume vendor house or a home close to town. And again great job EA!

Your post has nothing to do with the OP. He is not whining because he didn't win. He is upset because he won a deed and cannot place. He's having the same issue my husband is, when he tries to place he gets a system message that says he must be holding the deed to place.

I won the N-3 trammel plot gave the gold scroll to my friend he click on the scroll, and it told him that he needed to use a housing tool to place. he had no problems placing.

Not true. I won the deed on one account and gave it to another account because the winning account holds a Luna house. The second account placed fine. Also, I gave 3 plots away and so far only one has had problems placing and its not for the same reason.

I think you need to actually read things carefully before you go copying and pasting pointless reply's all over stratics...

I laugh at these issues with the mag lotto.

When housing started in Tram, all the shards crashed repeatedly, revert after revert on my shard. That was a mess.

This is like going to BK and finding out they forgot to put pickles on your Whopper.

Pops you are incorrect, I already placed my plot and built it in *great lakes* and it has *Area 41* on it. So .

From what I have been told, if your deed says "area" on it, then your client is not fully patched. Patching up to date seems to resolve the issue.

This is true, I had to patch then I was able to place it didnt matter if it said area 41 on it though.

I won a tram plot also, it says area 41 on it not great lakes. it placed fine. I traded it to another of my accts and it placed first try. I did do test and my plot also worked fine during that time. And yes I did win same plot on gl as I won on test.classic client full screen. The patch today monday should reissue deeds to winners and possibly fix some of the problems that are occuring. I believe in game staff should set aside some time during the week to meet players in game and resolve any issues still remaining. one by one and lets get this problem out of here totally.sometimes a patch does fix everything. but, if not they should be prepared for the one on one fix if needed.of course in my opinion.

i purchased the lease from him.

i walked up, placed a 15x15

no problems.

(other then i didnt read that the houses where restricted to 15x15 and i spent a couple minutes trying to cram a 18x18 in there, haha)

but i restart my comp every day and reload UO to be sure i have the most up to date patch.

but as long as you have the gold scroll on you and it dosnt say 'expired' on it, then you can place the house there.
once a house has been placed the scroll will say expired on it and it is then just deco. (thats for the OP guy who is all worried)
