If it requires a certain special something from an EM, it mightn't be easy to find a permanent EM, or one to cover well.
Anyway, I just started on Siege, so I'm biased towards saying it needs EM love

I'd so EM Seige if given the chance and I'd make everything in my pack stealable and it would just be full of muffins!

Oh and I'd name them all Cupcakes!

Who is our EM, anyway? I nominate Luka for the job. At least she doesn't cry and freak out when another player gets killed during an event! She held a fun player run event recently and did a fine job.

i visited for the new player event and saw it ruined by pvpers. my guess is that the EM assigned to siege is fed up with it all. if you can't even behave, you don't deserve events.

That criteria holds true for all shards I'm sorry to say. The event spoiling methods might be different, but it happens to some extent on most shards.
It is a sad testament to the level of maturity of some of the player base.

If I were Siege's EM, I think I'd be at a loss of how to plan events around the ability for it to be disrupted so completely. There has to be a point where the show can't go on.
Not that I don't have a little place in my heart for Siege.

I think the worst behaved players exist on production shards, away from repercussions for disrupting events. But, I've also witnessed the best behaved group on production, too.

I don't think Siege is better or worse than production shards.
It's just different.

Boy is this true. The last EM function I attended was so full of adolescent adults (who were there solely for the purpose of annoying everyone and disrupting the event) that I had to leave. I was embarrassed to be part of my shard right then. I just don't understand people like that, if you don't want to participate fine, leave. But don't ruin the event for everyone else because you're a 30/40 something with the IQ of a third grader.

I don't blame any EM who decides its just not worth it do try and have an event that they know will be ruined by mental midgets.

We just need an EM that isnt a hardcore carebear coming over from a prodo shard to do the Siege EMing.

I think someone mentioned it earlier that Luka had held a player run event earlier this month and it was great. she didnt try to make it so that pvp wasnt allowed, she planned for it and the pvp was what made it fun haha. We just need someone who knows how to handle siege players and knows how to plan for pvp.

maybe hold the event in a pixie field or something? haha

Are you sure they were adolescent adults and not just adolescents? There are alot of those around who pretend to be their parents. (I know this because I have 4 boys who get on here every now and again) But I monitor what they are doing when they are playing MY game lol There are some really smart/smartass kids out there these days. Finally my kids decided they needed those stupid 3d graphic crap games and now leave mine alone. whew!
