What makes it even more unique is that it is a magical shortbow. I think the EM's really wanted these items to be unique by using weapons that have never been used before. I know I haven't seen any cyclone, katana, war hammer, or magical shortbow event items.

Yeah, you'd have to put Hit Lightning on it of course... with that name it only makes sense.

With the name of this one and the other war hammer or whatever it was, almost sounds like some EM's are fans of an old game called Dungeon Siege.

Thats not true, Atlantic released war hammers in the past and many shards have released kantanas, i.e. the light sabres from LS recently, and Juka military Kantanas. I think there is also an orange short bow from Legends a few seasons past as well.
