Old school PK mask....

Hi all,

I'm working on costumes for the Golden Brew Players performance of the Chesapeake script, Neo's Day Out and need to find some costume pieces.

Specifically, the crossroads PK character needs one of those oh so stylish undead masks, but I can't remember what mobs drop them or what they're called. Were they ornate skull masks? Not looking for rares, just the regular ol' drop. I found some orc helms but if I can find the skull masks I'd be delighted.

Thanks!

when I started on Pac, it was a deer mask that PKs favored.

on Chessy most of us... er I mean most of the PKers wore nothing but a mage hat, sash cloak and boots :gun:

Although we once had a group called the Death Jesters that dressed up in purple jester outfits.

Those were the good old days.

I know that it was a pain to work skills or to collect resources out of guard zone due to pkers but it was also the most fun I've ever had in the game.

Funny thing is people used to complain about reds, but there were more blue noto-pk's than reds.

I Remember I would guard friends while they worked on getting resources. There was a really big community of blues who would protect people.

Then the game started to have cheats which were mainly addressed by allowing UOAssit. I guess it was to much work for Origin to add stuff like "last target" or "weapon equip". From there it was a darn fun game.

One day, some clever suit, who I'm sure never played UO in his life made the game item based and it went down hill from there.

In one fell swoop he destroyed the entire UO community and turned the game into care bear land. He also left the original Sosaria, now Felucca, to die as a waste land with mainly only hackers left to pvp.

I know, I know, I ask to much for the game to be hack free and bug free... shame on me. After all when I go out to buy a new stove I expect one of the burners not to work for a while until the next patch, or when I buy a new car I expect the speedometer not to work until the next patch, or when i buy a new bicycle i expect the brakes not to work until the next patch.....

Also in order to not have to come up with original ideas, they would just make certain templates uber. this would make everyone spend time working on those temps. after a few months a new template became the uber temp and once again people spent time working those.

Funny how after 13 years this hasn't changed. Today its gargoyles are the flavor of the month.

They are only concerned about having you spend time playing the game no matter the cost to the community.

Now in fairness I do know that it is very hard to keep a game fresh. after all once you get to 100 or now 120 in all skills and after you have killed every creature in the game it can get boring. But that is where PvP came into play.

You could either pk people or help people from the pkers.
