Old player returning...authentication problems...I'm almost crying.

Hi ,

Me and my husband are trying to return to UO.
After a long hassle of figuring out...what login and pass goes where...

So after a few days we finaly retrieved our old accounts.
Activated my husband's account.

So i download the client from uo.com.
Finaly done patching.

I write my old uo ID with _uo behind it and the correct pass.
But i get a message that there's an authentication error...and/or my ID and pass are incorrect...or i have an older client.
(pass and ID should be correct)

When i start my client i get a glimps of "Age of Shadows" for a reason...
My UO classic says patch : 7.0.47.0 (Patch Unknown)

Does anyone have an idea how i can fix this?
Tried reinstalling a few times...

Worse i tried it on my husband's computer...and his client patcher has an error and closes down mid-patching.

I feel like crying...

The _uo is only for your EA account. Did you try just the account name without the _uo?

Yes , still getting the error.

Going to uninstall again...and install from an old cd...
Maybe that works.

if you are logging into the game, you do not use the _uo on the account name.

the _uo is only used on the account management page when you link the uo account to the EA account.

the good news is ... you are at the correct patch level. i just double checked my client and my patch level is also 7.0.47.0

I reinstalled...reset my modem.

I don't know why it says "age of shadows" when i start up.
I reinstalled...
When i install i see pictures of "High seas" during the install.
I patch (takes quite a while)
I start up...i see age of shadows in a glimps.
I fill in "username_uo" (also tried without the _uo) my pass...
and i can't seem to get into the game.

My pass and ID should be correct...account is active.

Not sure what else i can do

There are 3 types of passwords.

1. The EA password that goes with you EA user name, which is your email address.
   
2. The Mythic password that goes with your Mythic user name, which is your uo account name with _uo tagged on
3. Your game (product) account password that goes with your regular, old, uo account name that you always logged into the account with.

The only thing I can suggest is logging in to account management and attempting to re-set your Game Account password.

Question:
When you say you've retrieved your account you've been able to log into the office mythic account management yes?

Did you have an ea/origin account prior to the merge as when my accounts merged I think I had to change my origin password which also changed my mythic account so they were the same and then it worked.


Or was something silly like that for me

And the account login for the game is that shared password and the heat isn't username for the uo account but subtracting the "_uo" part
