Okay, so I am a vet of many years, but havnt played Uo in about 2 years. I have only had my accounts active for about 2 weeks and still getting to grips with all my old friends (chars) again.

I have been reading and hearing lots about Sampire's. I dont really understand them fully yet, but I kinda get the jist of them.

Currently I have
120 Maceing
110 Anatomy
100 Parry
110 Resist
100 Healing
100 Tactics
80 Bushido (86 with Jewels)

On my ready to convert character. I normally use Wrath of the Dryad for high mana leech and spam lightning strikes, Darkwood armour set (gotta love the hits regen), Resiliant bracer and a +6 Bush, +8 dex, +20 DI ring (not attached to it at all, lookign for upgrade)

112 Str 100 Dex 39 Int as I look at it now.

Do I SS and Necro? I have seen some templates with chiv as well. I figure I have to drop parry and heal to get these other skills.

I was thinking of raising necro to a reasonable level then using jewelry temporarily to get enough to cast vamp embrace and rasing chiv to about 60 (I think thats the magic number) and the rest on ss for emergency heals and a bit of a boost to necro.

Can I please get some advice on where to go from here with this template. I have another 120 parry/chiv/tact/anat/heal/archer on another account so I am not to attached to this char's skills, although I would like to keep my 120 maceing.

Can I get a rundown of tactics (or a link to another thread if there is one) on how to get the most out of this char.

I plan on big monster soloing if that helps at all.

Any advice will best most appreciated :)

The sampire relies on two major things.
1. Not getting hit
This means that you need bushido and parry as high as possible, and DCI is an absolute requirement. Without 115 or more in weapon skill, bushido and parry as well as 45% DCI, you don't have much of a chance against some of the big things (Putrefier, Paroxy, Dark Father, etc)
2. Hitting (and thus leeching) as often as possible.
Yes, even if you aren't doing maximum damage, hitting more often will keep your hit points up at full. That means that you need very high dex and usually swing speed increase on your weapon. My first sampire used tessen (Wind's Edge fans) and did very well with them even though he had only 90 dex at the time (needed more strength for the Darkwood suit. It's a great suit for a starting sampire, but requires at LEAST 115 strength, since a curse from dread horn will make you drop pieces, which means instant death.

After you get those two points down, it's just a matter of practice, practice, practice. Learning which spells to cast when is pretty important.

The only other point that really needs to be made is that mana leech and stamina leech are also vital on your weapon, mana to keep you in lightning strikes and confidence and stamina to keep your swing speed up.

The best advice I can give is to read the 1000's of other posts of people asking the same exact question followed by Farsight, myself, and Connor offering our different takes on the most effective sampire build.
