This friday we'll try one last time to hold the PVP Club's biweekly tournament. Gating will start at 9:00 eastern and go to 10:00 eastern when we will start the tournament. I decided to move it just a little later to allow more people to be home from work, or whatever. Gating will be from Brit bank tram and yew gate fel.

Classes will be: Dexers, archers, mages and tank mages. Prizes go to first and second place. After all four classes are done, all four champs get together and have a battle of champs, winner takes all. Entry fee is 50K, and the prizes are well worth it.

Also, as stated in an earlier post, we need everyone that's willing to come and defend the front from griefers. If it fails as bad as the others, it will be the last time it will be held in fel, and will be moved back to the CFC arena. So if you want it, fight for it. Hope to see everyone there!

Defend Trammel? The event is being held in Fel so that all of the reds could participate in the event. Last I checked, its pretty difficult to be a red trammie, and after all, Karl, isnt your mage red? I suppose its easier for most of you to talk smack on these boards than to actually enter into an event where you can show everyone just how l33t you are. The idea Sum had is quite nice. He took alot of time, effort, and planning to coordinate an event that would benefit everyone, and all you can do is talk about defending trammies? Get off your high horse and enter the fight, or leave the griefing to someone who actually can play a mage without his entire guild standing behind him.

That thought had crossed my mind even before the first event, and that answer has two parts, one of which I covered in the first post asking for defenders: It's a credibility issue, I'm not gonna host a fel based PVP event and pay someone to not kill me. It kinda takes the heart of PVP right out of it. Second is that it generally costs me and the crew 6 mil to hold the event to have decent prizes, unless I have a sponsor, and I'm not a super rich person, nor do we always have a sponsor. Adding to that cost is pretty much out of the question, I'd just as soon not have it. I figured the cost of protection would run at least a mil, probably more, to make it worth their while to stand there and do nothing. So it's either defend or move, and I'd still like to hold it in fel, where PVP belongs. I'm not giving up just yet, though, just asking for a little help from ya'll.

All of you who trash talk BC- why dont you make a stand so he can hold this event? BC will probably field 20-30 people (im guessing closer to 20). So bring a bunch of stealth archers. (oh wait, they will have around 40, you have to count in the 10-15 BR that will be stealthing around). Do something...Ill be there, dead or alive to lend support.

Another way to do this is have ready supplies of bandages pots and regs for the contestants, so if bc kills them they can come in get resed and fight.
Of course bc will try to keep the entrance blocked off but we will spread them out so people can get in!!

Got that covered, I got bandies galore and many kegs ready, and if need be I'll bring regs too. Yeah, as long as people can get in, dead or alive, the event will take place. As always, come at your own risk, and don't bring anything uninsured, cursed, etc. You just might die.

One of the biggest problems though was BC simply dispelling the gates. They simply didn't want people there, didn't want the event to even be there. Pure spite, nothing else. So the entrance must remain clear, and I will instruct the gaters to only send gates when it's clear, otherwise BC will just dispel the gates.

Gotta ask one question of BC though. Do you really not want this here, or are you trying to accomplish something else? Don't ya'll wanna do something besides Harrys and Spawns over...and over...and over...and over...and over again? Kinda like a greed driven trammy, as Karl puts it.

BC dispelling gates? That doesn't sound like them wanting to PVP....sounds like they just wanna stand around and spite/grief people. While they claim shard domination, which is no way true, the only 'right claim' they have is that they are GL's premier griefers...especially when it comes to events like this. Not an honor I'd like to have. Hence, I = TDR.

One suggestion...the best way to beat coordination, is with coordination. Target calling, xhealing, etc....it's hard to get that done in a singular guild with vent, etc. so good luck doing it with a bunch of randoms. Regardless, I hope it pans out.

Oh, and area effect spells and fields own grinder groups...and superheroes do nothing but run off screen and die, then waste time making you rez them. There's my advise...take it for what its' worth. Good luck Sum, you have one heck of a road to travel.
