Ok folks bug time

The last couple days I have experienced a bug.

A single character on my account is unable to perform any normal functions.
He can't lock items down. He can't release items. He can't secure items. He can't Honor an opponent.

When ever he attempts to do any of these types of actions he gets a the response "there is little chance of getting money from that".

I have been told that this is a normal response to a failed begging attempt.

I get this response whether I attempt to use UO macros. uo assist macros or even when I attempt the action manually.
Even clicking on the honour gump on my paper doll in an attempt to honor an opponent causes this result.

One character only on this account is being affected this way. To my memory ( 99.9% sure) this character has never even attempted to beg from anyone...certainly not in the last year.

I recently modified the template on this character making him a Kengo Samurai.


I have submitted a bug report, I attempted to contact a GM last night but went to bed while I was still 8th on the list.


Anyone heard of this...ideas?

Try begging. Maybe by using the begging cursor you can get rid of the "always begging" thing.

Or at the very least, you could beg from someone and they'll wind up locked down or honored (or both, "I'm honored if you lock me down!").

Apart from those rather silly suggestions(do them anyway!), I'm clueless and have never seen or heard about similar troubles.

Farsight you might be a genius.

When ever I attempt to beg I get thge message:
"You must wait a few momments to use another skill".
Like you get when you are already using that skill.

My Kengo Samurai Paladin....seems to think he is a homeless bum begging for handouts!

Now how to fix it....

Now bring up the cursor (maybe by honoring something) and target a valid target for begging.

If that doesn't fix you up, then you need GM help. Good luck with that if it's true.

The other question that goes with this is, do you use UOAssist? If you do, then do you have the same problem if you don't start with UOAssist?

After a short waited I was visited by GM Akemai. He/she wouldn't be specific about what the exact nature of my problem was. But after a couple different attempts he/she solved my issue.

A positive experience...I submitted a feedback saying as much!

I dont run any third party programs, but once in a while I'll get the same thing. I can pick up anything, can lock down or release... I guess I pretty much cant interact with anything that needs to be targeted. I can walk, but thats it.

Even logging out and back in doesnt help. I had to quit the game and relaunch. Im sure you tried that... so Im just throwing my own experience out there.
