Ok a person uses a 3rd party program that automatically adds you to party and selects party can loot me isn't a script? Pray tell me what it is then. This isn't just one incident, it has been happening to a ton of people on sonoma. Now no one will even venture out to PvP because of this. It isn't rumor. I don't use the party system since I have vent.

It's impossible without a exploit. They will have to accept unless they control the players character which they would just go to there bank as the bank is carried with the character and get stuff from there. No script can do that it's impossible. Scripts work on uo client game mechanics that would be normaly possible if the person had a robot doing it at the keyboard. What you are speaking about is a exploit like duping.
Something that is normaly not possible in any situation except a error of the server-client code.

It's only a matter of time till its patched. One of the non mentionable programs finally got patched yesterday from what I'm hearing, so I am sure the other will follow soon enough. =/

How do you "hear" about things like this if you or a direct friend/guildmate arent running them?

No offense but IMO the only thing worse then a cheater is the 'righteous' supposed non cheater that believes that everyone else in the game that is better then them is cheating.

It boils down to the same thing though IMO. Either you are a cheater and you know EXACTLY who is cheating and how, or just as bad, you arent cheating but cant sleep at night because the possibilty/reality of other people cheating consumes you. Whether if directly affects your gameplay or not.

ElRay said I needed to have the "latest" program and script so the game would run smoother; and he would need to send me the file. I said I never accept files from anyone and my game runs smooth enough playing legit. He got mad and started cussing at me so I said forget this, I don't need to be in a guild with punk kids like this so I quit.

Thats not the reason why the program is down. The creater is supposely sick and his second in charge doesn't have the ability to modify the code as needed because of some drastic change from SA.

The fact that the creator is sick makes it even more obvious that all EA ever needed to do to stop 95% of scriptors, was to force a client patch every 2nd day.

Hah, this is so true! As soon as I get out on the field I get accused of speed hacking. The enhanced client allows you to run at top speed and isn't as affected by latency, so all those poor sods who can't ween themselves away from the 2D client, and everything that goes with it, get left in the dust. The enhanced client is the devs way of allowing honest players to get revenge on all those scripters and hackers that have plagued them for so long.

People are talking about "program which name I can't say". So this prolly means you know the programs real name. If you do, you can go to it's website and see what's going on, that's what I did.

Reason why it isnt patched is that the programmer has been seriously ill over 8 weeks no idea when he's getting better so he could update the prog.

There you can also find how the programs designer has written about Punkbuster already 2006, saying that EA prolly already knows exactly how widely and who's using the program. That there's no need for Punkbuster cause the program would be Easily detected if EA just wanted.

A script is basically an automated macro program. It runs the game for you, but doesn't break the rules of the game, beyond if it's not allowed.

Anything that breaks the rules is a hack. Running over objects that should block your path is one such. Yes many scripts use hacks as well, but the script itself isn't a hack.

The other type of hack is getting someone to download a program onto their computer that allows you to access it. That's usually what something that adds you to their party and allows them to loot you is. Most of the time that's what third-party programs really are. A trojan designed to let someone else control your computer. Most of the time it turns out that someone who had their account "hacked" had downloaded something to make the game easier, and actually downloaded a trojan.

That is true I can't go against fact. Though there is another thing such measures will disable uoassit as well. But even if that is taken care of there is always them realeasing the code and showing everyone how to patch for updates like this. Then all anybody need to do is as soon as they get the patch they can fix it in less than a minute and good for the whole day or 2. Though the consequensis of this would be pretty bad. Players that always have trouble patching they gonna be out the loop.
Plus with such code out there the restrictions that were put into the unnamed client will be gone people will code there own and make it available to everyone that will be able to do far more than this one can do now. Probably alot more other unseen troubles that I can't predict.

Don't forget that if you craft in your house while hidden that you're automatically tagged a scripter also. Doesn't matter that the scripts aren't working, you're scripting anyway if you don't say hi.

So as not to be bothered by passerby. Sometimes you just want to sit and do things without being interrupted on a regular basis.

Other than not being bothered by anyone, or in some cases, not getting targeted by roaming monsters, there really isn't any kind of advantage.

You just hide while you're in your house where you have a 100% chance to hide . Then, once the skill use timer is up, you can craft to your hearts content while hidden.

When I used to belong to a large guild where I didn't know a lot of my guildmates, I would often hide while working on crafting just because I didn't want to be bothered or, if I stepped away for a few minutes to answer the phone or the door, I didn't want to be an easy target. This was especially true if I was filling BODs because of all the chests and gumps I would end up having open. If I'm at one of my Fel houses and working on crafting, I usually hide too because it seems pointless to me to make my character a target for someone who wants to see if the house is sufficiently barricaded against field spells or nature's furies.

A GM actually responded to an unattended page? Do they really do this anymore? I'm calling shenanigans on your post until you provide picture evidence. I can't get a GM to get stuff that fell underneath my house while customizing and they go after a reported unattended macroer?

Loved those three different incidents I had to disassemble my home so I could get my crap back.

I think maybe you can handle the stuff beneath your house yourself is why a GM won't come?

As in release those items, go into custom mode, go out of custom mode and they will get kicked to beneath the house sign?

I know three years ago, before Mythic moved from CA to Va there was a GM on Atlantic that would appear within 10 minutes if summoned by an idoc guild that sold houses for cash while someone here on Stratics was complaining they couldn't get a GM to come at all to help get items that fell beneath their house while customizing.

Pretty sure UO unloaded some crooked GMs when Mythic moved cross country.

That Altantic idoc guild no longer wins every single Luna City idoc, castle or keep plot on all US shards like they used to. In fact, I don't even hear their leaders name anymore on Pac.

GM service is a lot better now.

I personally have had to reply to a GM with my pets name after I paged on what appeared to be an unattended miner AND I also got hauled to jail for having an html neon guild name, all within the past couple weeks.

Cheaters beware.

99 times out of 100 if someone asks you to speak to them in Heartwood they want you to make them something for free.

That's why we don't speak. It's not that we aren't there its just that we're working. We're already running those missions several hundred times in a day. That in itself will make you sorta insane, or at the very least anti-social.

1 time in the last 50 or 60 times I've gone and made things we had a very nice conversation.

I just know that when UOSA first released, our enemies are all turtle speed on targetting.

After some sort of program updated around in the Sept 20's, they all became god fingers again that could target within 1 second or less when I reach their screen.

Too bad so sad.
