Are they there today? Not on my shard.
My guess would be that they screwed something up and the person that can fix it is away for the holiday. People that do spawns in fel were saying they weren't getting the right number of Ps's and someone from EA said they knew of the problem but it wouldn't get fixed till after the holiday so if the slime are broken it migth be the same way.

yup there in the same place today..all say Acid Slimes right next to the mountain pass west of brit heading toward skara..north of the mountain pass..in the farm area...only colors ive seen them change into are light olive and dark blue...they say it next to there names when they change
Results of just now checking the Brit farmfields in Trammel for acid slimes:
Origin - No slime.
Pacific - Slime present.
Sonoma - No slime.
Lake Austin - No slime.
Baja - Slime present.
Napa Valley - Slime present.
Legends - No slime.
Atlantic - No slime.
Lake Superior - No slime.
Great Lakes - No slime.
Chesapeake - No slime.
Catskills - No slime.
Drachenfels - No slime.
Europa - No slime.
Oceania - No slime.
Out of 15 shards checked, only 3 have acid slimes in the Brit farmfields near where the road cuts through the mountains.

I guess I am one of the fortunate ones... Honestly though, the colors suck IMHO... I wanted some 'cooler' colors.
Ugh. Still can't find the slimes and I haven't seen any word from the devs. I am guessing they may be gone til after the first of the year.
I can't wait for your final tally, especially the part where you say you did it all with a last object macro and a dagger. That one gets me every time..

Can i just dye stuff with the slimes i found or do I need to go do a damn quest to get access to them?
The quest is completely optional.
I have searched all the spots listed and then some and still can't find them.
8:30AM PST today, the Slimes are still in the West Brit fields on Napa.
Can you tell them to come over to chesapeake for a little while.
Good lord no, I would go insane. No, I used UOA here and there to save on double clicking the slime since the time delay is so awful (record double clicking a slime health bar and bind it to a macro key, then when you swap slime targets just change the target in UOA and pick which new slime). I also utilize the balcony thingy leftover from some old global EM event. You can trap the slime inside untill it teleports out. So hit macro key, target deed, etc. Don't need to get the deeds on last target to do that.
Of course that method depends on you being able to actually get the slime *in* there. They seem to had more than one mode. One mode is running from you no matter what, one mode is attacking till you double click then they start their teleport routine, and one mode is attack you no matter what. Usually I can get them to chase me if I don't bother double clicking, but it's always the one that you want the color of that seems to be in run away mode.
A pretty long response, to a thinly veiled cheating accusation, I think.
Oh well, maybe it will help some other slime hunters.

As a matter of fact i might. But then how could I profit.
Raven, I think that initially we all thought they would spawn in random places every couple of days, based on the publish notes. However, what seems to have happened is that on many shards they spawned for one or two days in the farm fields west of Britain. (I know I saw them spawn on Sonoma and GL last Friday.) After that, they stopped spawning in that location on most shards and people searched high and low over the weekend looking for them in alternate locations. Meanwhile, on three shards (Baja, Napa, Pacific), the slimes have never stopped spawning in the original location.
Something is messed up. Either the slimes are spawning in alternate locations on all the other shards besides Baja, Napa, and Pacific and we're just all not looking in the right places and it's a bug that the Baja, Napa, and Pacific spawns are still spawning in their original location. Or, all the other shards are bugged and should still have the slimes spawning in the original location.
Folks have tried looking in the locations mentioned in an EA Japan version of the Publish 57 notes, and as far as I know, those locations have been empty of acid slimes. I believe those notes may also mention a date range for the spawn of December 25th to some date in January. If that's the case, it MIGHT explain why we're having these issues. Perhaps the shards that had a similar event before aren't supposed to get this event until Christmas day but somehow the programming for that (and location changes) is affecting other shards.
Additionally, it seems there may be an issue with the color variety. The only named colors I've seen so far are a light olive and a dark blue. I thought I read a post last week that someone saw some in paragon blue and paragon gold, but other than that I'm not sure the slimes are changing and labeling themselves for all the colors that are supposed to be available.
Honestly, the whole thing seems totally screwed up and it's pretty disconcerting that the only developer comment that's been made was Draconi pointing out the Brit farm field location.
Raven, I really hope you're just teasing. I remember you posting about participating in the other slime event that ran on the Asian shards and how much fun it was doing it with a group of people who helped keep each other alive.

just took a lil 3 hour tour of sosaria again and no slimes that i can find today on LS. i even pulled out my old book of out of the way places like the little mountain top and other places where ppl cant or dont normally go ...nada.
i'll continue seaching as patience allows but i never had much o that to begin with. blah. would be nice if the guys in charge would just say one way or another if the event is working properly or if we are just farting in the wind with all this wandering and searching.

I believe i know what may have happened to the slimes players dyed as many artifacts as they could then some of them killed off all of the slimes on most of the shards to keep there slimed colored artifact as rare a color as possible. on my shard i saw tamers with cus killing the slimes so maybe we have to wait for them to respawn some where else if they spawn again at all thanks to greedy players. i don't even want to dye anything just want to finish the quest with my remaining characters i play chessy by the way.
I searched half the places on that list that's floating around thouroughly (and trust me.. it isn't fun when your connection is cutting out randomly to go through doom, the exodus dungeon, and the fire dungeon) and have come up with nothing. If you really have found where they are could you please at least give a hint?

I've checked all those locations and me and a few friends have checked every facet....haven't seen squat.
I'm sure they are out there...I'm just saying they are almost impossible to find...(or for our 7 people searching at the same time...impossible heh)
I think town callers should give a "hint" not something that would totally give it away but something that would give us a general idea or a clue.

Just some information although it really isn't on were the slimes are... just wanted to test the spoiler button never noticed it hehe..
If they are in the same spot that is bad... they are supposed to move to a new location every two days... something is wrong.. Devs make them move so people have to look.
