Hi Dem Members,
So I wanted to post a letter/document to everyone but wasn't sure of the best way to do that so thought I'd post it here. Why not. So as you know we started our guild about 3 weeks ago and while we are fairly small, we do have two things going for us. First, we have achieved a guild rank which provides full PvP perks- which most guilds do not have as they dont focus on the pvp benefits. Second, we have a core group of nice people that play often.

However, the drawbacks are that since we are small, we do not really have the manpower to do anything significant. Our guild cannot do any dungeons by ourselves (for those that love pve), we would be hard pressed to do raid rifts or just anything that requires numbers. Part of the end game will be to be able to participate in some of these larger events or heck, just creating guild events for everyone to participate in. But with smaller numbers, the odds of getting everyone on at the same time might prove to be difficult.

I've been speaking to the leadership of another guild about being able to do things with them. Meaning, keeping our guild but at the same time duoing or splitting our efforts by doing raids/dungeons with them. They seemed somewhat open to it especially because they don't have as many PVP focused people. However, I've looked at their guild website and it seems they do ALOT of events , like raid rifts, questing groups, tons of dungeons, etc. I just thought to myself "wow, I'm sure our group of members would like to do some events from time to time with others" and because of our small size, we cannot really do that. It got me to thinking that maybe we should see about joining them "as a whole". Not just 2 of us, not just 5 of us, but all of us.

I haven't spoken to them about this idea- of all of us joining their guild- but I know they are hurting for getting 20 people on at once and are looking to expand. They are VERY good at higher level dungeons and have a VERY organized leadership.

I'd like to discuss it via vent and give everyone their guild website, have you look it over and discuss it. I like everyone in our guild and although we all have some idiosyncrasies, I think we are all generally "nice, mature and well- MEANING people" with no rude, obnoxious people. By joining a larger group we ofcourse open ourselves up to new people, new personalities but also new people to do things with- so you always have to take some good with some bad.

We could still have this guild tag for alts and such... but I'm just thinking about end game content, doing things in larger groups, etc.

Look on our guild info for the links to this letter and the guild website in question.

Thanks
V
