Odd Aquarium issue

I've had an empty aquarium in my house for quite a while as I didn't want to load it up until I was fairly sure I was done customizing my house.

So last weekend, I checked it and of course it dead

Water State: Dead
Food State: Dead

I fed and watered it appropriately. I checked it last night and it still says it needs the same amount of water and food and the status is still dead. I'm afraid to put my two living fish in there until something changes.

Is there a problem that I'm unaware of?

I suggest you empty it out of deco, then redeed, then replace...save you some resources and time to get it back to normal.

Wished I had read that BEFORE I dumped in 9 waters and 7 foods. Ah well. If it's still "dead" tomorrow, I'll redeed it. Thanks for the tip!
