Oceania ....?? Cal.... You got troubles??

I have been trying for 2 days now to log into Oceania.
The screen locks up after you choose the shard.
I have tried over 12 accounts to get on and get the same thing.
Noticed this trouble on one account but thought it was just my comp or internet conection, even had cable come look and they found nothing wrong on their end.
Son's comp is getting same thing so its not my machine.
Cal could you please ask whome ever covers this type of trouble to look into this..

I believe it is a lag issue caused by patch 69 a lot of people are suffering the lag and lock up.

I just tried from UK, the char loaded, then a good minute after the paper doll and his back pack.
Ran a trace and poll using uo.trace to oceania.owo.com, it shows packet loss mid-route somewhere in Sydney. My isp connection fine, EAs servers fine.
Worst place, in my admittedly very limited, experience. It's hard to get it fixed when its neither your isp nor EA . Ping to those servers 600+, that's double normal. Ping to Oceania for me is around 300.

After you have been routed from europe to the us to europe again to connect to an european server nothing can be surprising

I have run pings myself while moving freely, while frozen to the spot and also while lagging badly. Worst latency during any of these times has been 80. Its the uo server itself that is the problem.

Please fix!

This was over last two days when the problems began.

remember that ping is not representative of bandwidth, just means it answers

I just tried Oceania from East Coast US and it was normal for me, which is laggy but runnable.

Unplayable to to the extent that i couldnt manage to move my rare stuff between houses before the old house collapsed... aye, not happy.
