How do you all go about obtaining your Primer on Arms Talisman? I've got a sampire in training on a shard where I can't find one for sale. So that means I'll have to get it from the Library Collection itself. What do you all turn in? As I understand it, I can turn into any of the collectors. Just trying to be smart about how I go about this.

And for the Mace & Shield Glasses, do you just craft bucklers and turn them in one at a time? Seems like that would take forever.

Thanks!

You can pay 12M for the glasses directly from the library, so don't pay more than that from a vendor!

Honestly? You buy them off the scripters' vendors or you pay 12 mil for the glasses.

You *used* to be able to gather frost wood for Primer on Arms, but that's kinda no longer a (viable) option. But you're better off buying a Conjurer's Trinket anyway.

You could turn in reagents to the mage. Most of the Magery reagents are only 3gp each from the NPC vendors. Alternatively you could hunt for them or Necromancy reagents (for the necromancer) from any reagent giving monster, while you train (liches and lich lords are an excellent source for reagents). You could then turn around and either donate the gold for the glasses, or buy more reagents for the talisman. The nice thing about this is that you are training the whole time.

For the primer, I turned in horned leather. I would spend time farming wyverns in the Lost Lands near the lighthouse. For the glasses, I spent time buying bucklers/battle axes from smithy shops to donate. This process is slow and requires dedication, but you can end up getting the glasses for about 2 million.

Thanks for the inputs! I'm also collecting items to unravel for imbuing residue/essence so maybe I will switch my mob target to also get leather. White Wyrms sound intriguing for the barbed leather at 15pts per hide. If that ends up seeming too tedious, I'll switch to farming regs for turn-in. I've already started turning in spellbooks to that collector when I was scribing for super slayers.

You could also use Dragon Scales (they are 20 points per scale and lighter than hides). Any color of scale is accepted by one of the guys on the second floor.
