Hi,

I am returning to world of Ultima Online after nearly 3 years break and the Sampire build caught my eye. Currently I am standing with following skills on my set:

Anatomy 100 (Max 105)
Bushido 87 ( Max 105 )
Chivalry 78 ( Max 100 )
Healing 80 ( Max 100 )
Necromancy 79 ( Max 100 )
Parrying 100 ( Max 100 )
Swordsmanship 104 ( max 110 )
Tactics 80 ( max 110 )

I am currently in progress of training Necromancy towards the 99 ( or 100 ) and dropping the healing off. I had item or two but mainly my items are pure useless garbage at this point so I would like to know where would be a good place to just hunt of gear and gold to get things going again? I read some threads on here where people farm Miasma and Gwan and stuff like these, but I assume with these skills and gear I am not able to defeat them yet. So where could I start hunting and getting things back on track? Any suggestions?

You will probably have to buy most of your armor if you're looking for a nice suit, so focus on hunting gold.

First, go ahead and finish training necro to 99. This is vital, as 99 skill is required to cast vamp form, which is now your method for healing.

Second, finish training bushido so it is at least GM (until you can afford a scroll). Buy a pet - cat, dog, rabbit, horse, etc. - make sure you are unguilded and use lightning strike on your pet until you hit your desired skill level.

Third, you should now have enough skill to venture to the Painted Caves. Troglodytes spawn in the lower two chambers of the Caves. With enemy of one and consecrate weapon, they should die pretty quickly. Each will give you around 600 gold, plus they'll occasionally yield armor set pieces and minor arties.

This should keep you busy for a little while. :) Also, consider joining up with a guild (after you've trained bushido). They'll be able to help you with training and suit-building.

Syrus -- when you say "occassionally yield armor set pieces and minor arties" you are only talking about Lurg and Grobu, right? I didn't think you could get either just from the normal spawn.

Treunanen -- Syrus gave you good advice. That is exactly what I do when I start a sampire character. Train necro first and allow yourself to gain meditation and focus. Then use the bushido method he recommended. Use Lich form for the mana regen. Next I train parry to scrolled max via sheep. This is discussed in this forum (just do a search). For follow-on weapons skill, tactics, anatomy, and bushido training, I head to Yamatso Mines. At the front there is a double earth el/dull copper el spawn. That works great until you are about 100-105. Then I head up 2 rooms to the warriors. I try to draw one off so I am solo fighting. They respawn fast. Gold is also about 600 per. If you want gold, however, the Trogs will go down faster with a repond slayer (i.e. soul seeker). Hold off on Miasma until you are closer to 115 weapon skill.

Do you have a soul stone? That might give you some other options on how to build the character. Also, try to grab a 115 weapon, bushido, and parry power scrolls soonest. Happy training!
