What do you guys think about lynking bolas to that skill? Something like the higher your throwing skill the more of a % chance you have of dismounting your target with a bola? anyways just a thought feel free to flame or whatever

It would suck since most are so use to using them. But almost every weapon skill has one weapon that can dismount players. It would force pvpers to change up their strategy a bit. It would force them to have a wider variety of weapons on hand.

I think it could be fun to have to change tactics. Keeps the game alive when stuff changes. Or maybe I just like the idea of changes

Link them to the throwing skill... reduce the chance of a JOAT or an elf actually dismounting (say 30%) and let the throwing skill take over from there. 120 skill gets you 100% effectiveness.

maybe just simply make it so bolas don't have the swinging timer that they do for everyone else, if you have throwing, but theres a chance to miss just like any other dismounting weapon.

Can't throw a bola whilst riding, therefore you cannot throw a bola whilst flying.

Also I say no to this.... Throwing is gargoyle only. They have a weapon that can dismount already. Making it so only gargoyles can use bolas (100% hit as long in range) is no bueno.

It was answered in FoF, you know when all they did was continuously answer those redundant gargoyle flying questions even after they mentioned that flying is exactly the same as riding a mount with exception of getting access to special areas...

It's been mentioned that Gargoyles will be able to fly as fast as a mounted person running....will they be able to dismount a person on mount...and still fly at mounted speed? If so, that will lead to a HUGE disadvantage to any non gargoyle race. How's this going to work out? can you shed some light please.
When it comes to dismounting another player, a flying gargoyle will be subject to the same restrictions as a human or elf on a mount.

I'm all for bolas being tied to Throwing. I dislike items that replace abilities that would ordinarily require skills.
