Notice of huge influx of tokens/Valorite hammers on ATL?

So theres this character that for the past few days has been selling Xfer tokens at 9m per, and advanced character tokens at 6m per.

Now this gent has sold out 40 xfer tokens 3 nights in a row. thats well 120 xshard tokens at 9m per and not including the advanced character tokens

Asked him where they came from said he buys in bulk?? anyone else beside me think that there might be a possible dupe out right now involving tokens and valorite hammers?

Forgot to mention Lots of valorite hammers are popping up all of a sudden as well. Just the thoughts of a babbling loon i guess

Valorite Hammers alone ive seen at least 12 this week at one time for sale in Luna. Weird i guess

Are all these vendors owned by the same person?

I doubt it. What I found the last time I investigated was that some guy sells stock in bulk to designated distributors for cash. The distributors in turn sell the stock for gold and then resell the gold for cash. If a ban happens based on vendors then it will be the distributors who will be caught (who always use alternate accounts) and not the source.

Many of the so called legitimate gold sellers with websites are these very distributors. The main source(s) seem to deal only with cash for their scripted/duped/hacked stock as vendors draw too much attention. I was able to identify quite a few distributors but never any source(s). Probably because UO is nothing but business to them and hence they have no player identity.

There have been many Donuts suddenly appearing on Europa in the last month, as well.

And the same vendors offering donuts have usualy got some of these orange ingots too, which if I'm not wrong are the bugged/illegal ones obtained a few weeks/months ago.

I know which guy you are talking about.

A friend of mine already bought about 50-60 tokens from him when he first arrived here at Europa. After that he offered more. So I had a talk with that friend, and we both came to the conclusion that it's failry impossible to make a profit on the items he was selling for the price. Actually for the amount he was selling one would usually lose quite a couple $100.

Furthermore, I have been looking around other shards, he is selling tokens at other shards at the same time so either he Xfers to sell them or he just has 100's more (which I assume he does).

My conclusion, there's a dupe for these things alright...

<font color="brown">I know char transfer tokens typically sell for 12-15 mill, and advanced char tokens for 7-8 mill, but how much do Val Hammers typically sell for? 35-45 mill still seems like a huge amount for a hammer, but I don't know much about runics!!!

Did you notice that the shards showing an influx of the hammers are the ones at the top of the alphabet (Atlantic, Baja, Cats, Chessie, Drach, Europa)? I wonder if the invasion of hammers will start to invade the mid-lower alphabet shards... </font>

What are the chances of two people on different shards naming their vendor the same thing and stocking Val hammers? Not good.

While wandering around Chessy Luna during Napas downtime, I saw this:

Notice the amount (and type) of items on the vendor, THEN look at the vendor paperdoll. As you can see, it is a normal, "just placed" vendor. No clothes were added or taken away. Almost like he xfered, set up a vendor, and was done with it. Not a definate, but I would think most normal players that have those types/amounts of items would change the clothes on the vendor.

Did it occur to anyone that in regards to the token bulk 8th anniversary game packs still exist, and in some parts of the world can be bought very cheap. In addition just b/c duping has been stopped, that doesnt mean that all dupers, and duped items were found stopped/deleted.

I don't undesrtand why this post is on Rares Collector Forum, Stratics should think to open a new forum named : Investigation or Player Policeman,

Well just to heads up you guys. I believe that the person who posted the idea that they all come from one source [who sells to them for cash, who then in turn sell for gold, who then sell the gold for cash to buy back from the original guy] is correct.

I have a friend who works in a similar situation. They explained that at this persons warehouse there are just BAGS and BAGS of 125 items full of Ornis, Inquis, Xfer Tokens, etc. I won't implicate who this person is but upon questioning the friend who works with them, they explained that they originally believe that the main retailer dupes but are not sure anymore because of various reasons. The person in question did have numerous 'unique' items that I personally saw, LT Sash, Vine Cords, etc.

I think the Val Hammer issue is that people are trying to unload them before the patch that makes Copper hammers have the ability to make a 30%SSI 50% lightning wep . But i'm sure all those hammers were duped in the first place as well

You all do know that the duping was once way out of control. Everyone does. No one knows how much was duped and how much is being sat on.

Why do you see valorite hammers now?
No more arent being duped. Many already where.

I can also tell you during the blackrock trade in on origin, I got 2 very quickly.

But why do you see them now?

With the runic changes and bod changes the prices of valorites will go down. Its time to sell.

Just like it was time to sell your orny and 35 million before the changes in DOOM occured. You can get an Orny now for 9 million.

As for transfer tokens. They were needed to xshard. Because of that they were highly duped.

Im just saying becareful not to start saying new dupe out. It could be true? But Im sure there are cases of duped items still sitting in houses.

Talked to the IDOCers. Ask them what they find sometimes.

I know we all remember turning in black rock for rewards, I just want to let everyone that you could get a Val hammer as a reward, I know around 3 people that got 2 or 3, I myself only got agapite and verite about 5 each.
