OK i know i can go to the mage guild master in brit and he will add mage armor to items. Now i'm tryng to make the virtuoso armor useful (don't get me started about making an armor set primarily used by mages non- medable ) he was able to add mage armor to the tunic but says what is this to the rest am i just stuck with it being non-mendable?

I dont know this armor, but i Ssume that the other parts maybe normal leather.
If you use EC you can See if an armor is mediable. With CC try to meditate and See if you got a message.

Virtuoso's Armor Set - UOGuide, the Ultima Online Encyclopedia

The hat is cloth and the gorget & hands are leather. So they are already medable.
