Not another lag post... an appeal to players of Europa

I know everyone is sick to death of seeing these damn lag threads, and so am i to be honest.

This thread is basically appealing to any of Europa's players to discuss if they are experiencing lag issues or not. In another thread, i've seen many American players suggesting their lag issues have been fixed. Is this the case?

For me, the lag on Europa is really getting me down. I feel more frustrated with it than i ever have with any issues in UO. More so that getting killed by faction guards in under two seconds, being res killed 20 times, getting ganked by 8 players, even losing an arcane shield when it was worth 40 mil, etc etc.

So, if anyone plays Europa, please post your latency and tell me your experience. I will post mine and submit it soon, but im at work atm. For me, lag clears at about 11.30 gmt, but until then, playing is like wading through mud! Thanks, and sorry for another lag post, i'm just trying to bring it to the dev's attention really. I'd hate for other shards to be sorted and poor old europa still stuck with this gammy lag!

My friend Dummy is also expiering lag problems to europa. iam routet throw sprintlink and have no namefull problems to europa.

But yesterday for my friend, it was impossible to play, because of packet loss and high ping times.

You play KR dont you Lucitus. You think that has anything to do with a difference in lag? I've heard on other threads KR handles lag much better than 2D.

Hows your connection? You got an uber high speed con? Im running 500meg and lag is awful!

I must be fortunate in that I have not experienced any of these lag problems , I use KR for pvp (dexer) but normal client for pvm both of which have been fine for me, although I do get grief for "speeding" using the kr client

Past week has been a pain to try and play.
My ping is pretty normal tho, dont really get it.

same here. did everything i possibly could to reduce lag, including virus, and spyware checks, stopped all useless programmes and icons, checked ping and it came back with an average of 35-37 but still lagging like hell.

no KR can reduce lag a bit but if you have lag then you really have lag, because KR is only updating the positon only every few steps, this is also the fact, why KR looks like a speedhack, and if you have a packet loss or high ping, the positons can not sync with the server and then you get a greater rollback like in 2d. Or sometimes also the position showed on your client isnt the position on server, only if you press toggle war mode, a refreshment of position is forced.

Well my lag is a tiny bit better than 2 days ago... but really just an itzy bitzy tiny bit better.
I only play with my stealth bard atm...lol

Last 2 weeks have been really horrible I jumped from 80ping the normal ping I usually have to 150/200 with some packet loss in other words I just cant play I payd 2 weeks for just NOTHING !!! worst thing is that I already paid for 6 months so if this is not fixed soon I think I give up with UO its so frustating.....

I tested my ping to Atlantic and its incredible but I can play there with not laag issues this is really annoying....

I've been lagging pretty badly this last week or so aswell.
I ping euro at the usual 25-30ms but after a few minutes I get bogged down, at the moment I'm not bothering to do the event stuff just crafting.
I tried playing on Legends and even with a 100+ ping i didn't experience any lag like in Europa.
Btw playing from the UK 8 meg line using demon.net isp if that helps at all.

last two weeks have been horrendous, but tonight has been slightly better for me, still though, it's not what it was!

ye I am having lag to and so is my team mates all at the same time = server issue

what makes it even more anoying though is that what ever program our speeders on eu is using makes them handle lag better to...giving them unreal advantages when the rest of us get sticky...

so please fix the lag and do something about the sodding speeders

it is no fun!

I am still pinging 28ms from the London area to the servers, no problems with lag or degradation in ping at any point in the last few weeks.
