Ok, so I took healing off and put necro on for VE. I made some armor that want full imbue, just as high as possible without special ingredients. I added my arties (ranger cloak, jackal collar, mace and Shield, shroud). This have me:

70/70/70/67/67
120 hp
153 stam
68 mana
30 hci
42 lmc
15 ssi

Filled my bag with petals, cure, refresh potions. Assured swampie I would protect him this time.

Arrive with a grudge. Eat a petal. Honor spider. Hit evasion, charge in with double strike. Died in ten seconds. Flat.

I am beginning to believe I do not have the mental capacity for this...I DID remember to log out this time, mainly because I'm so far past rage and so deep in acceptance.

Then I remembered that I hadn't even joined trinsic for the ssi bump.

No, swords was same, and dci was 0. Yeah. My new plan is make a generic reptile slayer and kill dragons and what not to raise sswords, with gold elemental thrown in for variety

Joust... then I guarantee you won't die in 10s, if for no other reason than you won't be standing next to her for the first 10s.

As I covered before, going from 103 to 120 swords and 0 to 45 DCI lowers that chance that you get hit from ~45 down to 15ish. While also increasing the chance that you hit her (leeches) from 68 to 75.

It is so easy to maximize hci, dci and weapon skill... No doing it looks like intention to fail mission.

Make an undead slayer and hit the rotting corpses room at blackthorn to bring that swords to 120.
And get some DCI in. Going there with weapon skill in the low 100s, no DCI, only 150ish stam is asking to be destroyed.

OR

Make an ele slayer and hit the agapite elem room in blackthorns. If you've got a miner just drop the ore on the ground then come back later. You'll get 1-2 BT arties an hour, plus maybe 6000 ingots, which can either be used or sold for great profit.

OR

Make a dragon slayer and go to Destard L2 and kill the shadow wyrms, loot their hides for sale or use. ALso these have a pretty decent loot table of their own.

OR

If the shadows are too tough, go to Ice and hit the WWs.

OR

If you need to build fame to dump to build up Sacrifice virtue, and you're feeling a bit risky, try the balrons in BT. Again decent loot table, and you'll get 3-4 arties per hour.

In any case, you should find someone to reforge for you (or do yourself, expect to burn 1 maybe 2 hammers per item) a 100% HML scimitar. Then you should be able to double strike basically every single hit. and you'll be swinging as close to 1.25s as you're going to get, which is useful for gaining a skill like this, which is just pure uses over time.

All of these will serve you two purposes: 1> you will gain swords fast, and 2>you will earn money at a fast rate, and since you mentioned that you don't have a lot of it, this serves you better than standing around smacking a golem for a day.

I have found that the gains and the minax arties drop rate on the rotting corpse room is much faster than at the golden elementals.
While at the golden I usually get 1 artie per hour on average with 1700 luck, on the rotting I was getting close to 2 per hour on average with 500 luck and sometimes 1000 from perfection bonus, thanks to the large number of brigands in that area.
And rotting corpses have a nice loot table. I got a few (no more than 10, though) brittle legendary pieces there.

So I think it is better to 120 your weapon skill there.

Balrons at BT are nice and all to train honour and gain fame fast, but you need a good suit there, because they hit hard.

That really made me laugh.

Do not 'throw your suit together with as best as you can without needing ingredients' you can only do that if your skills are maxed and you're already passed being good at playing it. (Or you're training/farming minor crap. For example I work Fel Dungeon spawns for the 10th anni crap just to turn in for cleanup points.) I wouldn't even be attempting it until your skills and a properly put together suit are done. Though as I said in the other thread I think you could easily do Medusa with no change.

The number 1 (read: only) thing on your to do/priority list should be to 120 Swords. Can't emphasis this enough.
