Noobquestion: trial accout upgrade

Hi UO statics.
Let me get right to the point.

I testet the UO trial for nearly 2 weeks and I obviously liked it.
I put quite some effort in my Chars in these 14 days and want to keep em.

I would like to upgrade that trialaccount by using an unused ML Key(30 free days) that a friend still has but i just cant seem to get it right.

The thing is that the key is not accepted as a GTC and I cant register it again to my account because ML is already registered due to the ML Trial.

My Qustion is: Is it possible to use a ML Game to Upgrade a UO Trial account?

Your trial account will become a "real" account so long as you keep your credit card info in and wait until day 15.

And no, you can't use a second ML code.

Could I create a new account using the ML key of my friend and transfere the trial account chars there?
