Noob question

I dragged my woefully underpowered mage out of the cellar and went to train resist and magery at Moonglow cemetary. I simply let things blast away and healed as I needed. I am not too powerful so fireball was the spell of the day for a bit ... then lightning (sometimes).

BUT ... I got to the house and checked things. Bare nekkid I have a -14 physical resist. I know it's because something cast on me but I cannot recall how to counter it.

Can someone tell me what I have forgotten? Thanks!

Protection, it sounds like. Try casting it.

IF that doesn't work (i.e. makes it go even lower), recast it to remove it, and try casting magic reflect.

If that doesn't work, go run naked and find something to kill you. Dying clears most spells.

If none of that works, time to call a GM.

Okay ... casting protection worked, but as OCD as I am, I would like to see 0 resist when undressed. I'll go collect a death robe and see what follows. My main concern is casting protection in the heat of battle and all of a sudden I have less physical resist than expected.

ADDED: I let a grizzly smack me around. Dying did the trick. But it took that damn bear 4 swipes to kill me! <chuckle>
