Non-Decay Items Vanish !!

I have been collecting Non-Decay furny and items from idocs for yrs. Today I noticed the collection I had on display, went poof !!! It was in my keep (inner areas), plus a few elsewhere.

Anyone else notice this? I checked a friends house, he had some items but they appear gone as well.

Guess the new patch borked things.

I have a couple hundred items in my castle and they are all there still, Rubble, Soulstones, furniture and more

A few weeks ago I put all of my non-decaying items in a secure container, so I didn't lose any of those, obviously.

I did have a stuffy mongbat sitting out in my castle courtyard. It is still there. I have a stack of over 100 vet reward dragons that are not locked down, on my roof. I see one is there, so I am assuming the whole stack is still there.

Sorry you lost your items. There are some 'problems' EA doesn't need to fix. The non-decaying items were fun to collect.

Sounds like you got looted. If you had a bunch of stuff sitting on the ground then it would be obvious to anyone who managed to get inside.

beats me. People could not get to the items. Not a big deal, just wondering.

It is entirely possible someone was able to get inside there. There are many break-in tricks.

Rubble, Vet rerward statues, Phillip's Wooden Steed, Black Cats, Anti Virtue World Map, Stuffy animals, Red Soulstones, Broken chair (pretty sure all are none decay) These are the newer items that are non-decay

Older items i have are Shipwreck paintings, shells and Pillows, Furniture (table, chairs, chests, bookcases, Armoire,writing table), clock, chessboard, dice adn cup, plate of cookies, easel w canvas, Candelabras, scales, Shields, Pen and Ink, Lanters, Hammer, ask and answer ball, Barrels, dye tub, chainmail crafted tunic, jars and bear/deer masks

i had one of those metal-box-that-turns-into-a-strong-box-when-turned-and-you-can't-pick-up stuck on the ground under my house sign and it's gone this morning. i was glad. HA HA HA! but sorry you lost your stuff.

Pepta's Satiety Cure doesn't decay. Neither do the Statuette Engraving tools.

Vet reward dragons don't disappear. I don't know if there are other vet rewards that don't decay or not. Does anyone know about those?

Banana trees don't decay, but they do get stolen by so-called friends.

I've come across some old furniture that didn't decay, as well as the blackrock and rubble. I never realized that Vet Reward dragons and dye tubs didn't decay.

Guess I really need to pay closer attention

I'm sorry, but I don't agree here I don't think. It seems to me that UO has the lock down limits and the no load until enter, so as to hold down lag. To give you an example, in the old days when PKing was rampant, some few jerks would drop all kinds of crap on the ground in large numbers to cause players who ran into this "zone" to freeze up, and they'd PK them. The point being that numbers of items popping onto a player as they come upon them can give them a sudden jolt of lag.

That's why they have these codes, and why it does need to be fixed. It's not just one player displaying things, it's what adds up. At least, from where I sit it seems that way. They'll have to make the real decisions.

Vet dye tubs decay.
RD Gumbie's list of items are very old items pre trammel, when wasnt needed to lock down items.. so dont start unlocking stuff hehe, any new furniture/dyetubs will decay like any other normal item.

Blissmarie: i've tried with every 1rst yr vet reward and they dont decay. Same with vesper replica statues.

No worries, items returned !! Its an odd collection but I have over 300+ items with pre-lockdown tags that wont decay. Everything from runes, poison potion, black dye tub, paintings, all kinds of furniture, books, dice etc.

Its just something i've done for yrs after old houses have fallen.

Thanks to the person that got the items for me. There is some new recall thing that puts u in a safe spot that no longer allows you to recall into the areas of the keep that u can't walk into. I had the spots marked before i dropped the keep, thus I could put non-decay stuff there.

Looks like a greater power got the items for me and put them in a box .

Sorta related to this topic, last year Luna Baja got hit with some wierd decay bug that they had to revert for. ANd what happened was Everything Decayed in a house even when locked down, so the only items left in peoples houses were thier rubble and statues. Was quite the site to see and worried alot of folks.


And yes, I have one or 2 dye tubs that are non-decay, they arent Vet rewards, dont go unlocking them.
