Non-Aggro Doom Runner

Hi everyone - I wanted to create a character whose soul purpose is to collect stealable artifacts throughout Britannia - all available areas, not just Doom. As mentioned above, this is non-aggro character so I don't plan to fight or attempt to engage in combat.

I had a template considered as below. These are base numbers, I haven't checked with regards to using powerscrolls.

stealing (100) (obviously to get the goods)
hiding (100) (to get hidden)
stealth (70/100) + 10 using cloak of silence and +20 using rat/rabbit form
healing (100) simply to keep myself healed if I am attacked
music (100) (to support the below skills)
peace (100) (to settle attackers)
provo (100) (if i need to make some loot or fend off some attackers)

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I Went With Magery On All My Thiefs For A Few Reasons:

1: Healing When Im Damaged

2: Defending Agains Enemies If Needed (Will Help Getting Skulls For Gauntlet)

3: Invis: To Invis Your Self After You Steal Something Hiding Wont Work For Few Secs.

4: Recall: Recalling Away Or To Another Location

I would suggest testing your template out on the test center to see if you like it. At 100 stealing, you will fail when attempting to steal artifacts. If you are tight on skill points, there are artifact leggings called shadow dancer legs that give +20 to stealing and stealth. Also, without anatomy, I don't think you'll be able to cure yourself, rez others and you will heal fewer health points. And keep in mind that some barding skills do not work for some creatures. For example, you cannot peacemake fan dancers in the fan dancer dojo, but you can provoke them. Some creatures will require higher than 100 barding skills due to their difficulty. At the very least, I would drop healing and add magery. The upcoming expansion will bring new and different challenges and the barding skills could prove to be very useful.

You will want 120 stealing! The first time your trying to steal a high item and you fail and someone else runs by and grabs it your going to be mad if you stay at 100, trust me!!

I went with 100 magery no EI, allows me to cast heal/cure/invis spells and throw out EV/EE for protection or attack

Stronger monsters can breeze thru a peace nowadays, can be lifesaver no doubt but since your hands must be free anyhow to steal you could just carry potions instead to do area peace, invis, heal, cure, etc and save some skill points

Like any good little thief, can pick locks, detrap casting on the chests, and defend herself if attack. This template has stopped skill warriors in place while in Fel and allowed the thief to escape while the warrior pause to wonder what just happen. She is wearing clothing/jewerly that helps to raise her skills to those levels needed to steal and stealth.

My non-aggro is

Stealing 120 (A must to compete with others)
Magery 110 (helps to gain in sacrifice to self rez)
Hiding 100
Med 100
Tracking 100 (like to know who else is around)
Stealth 85
Ninijitsu 85 (move faster stealthing in animal form)

The one I use the most is

120 Stealing
120 Magery
100 (114) Eval
100 Hiding
100 Med
100 Tracking
80 Stealth
I use this one for almost everything


My other 2 are just a mix

I stealth up to whatever i want, Target-Steal-animal form-RUN-

Honestly im not a real patient guy and im not even really smart enough to remember to grab potions and smoke bombs half the time, in fact i dont even have them hotkeyed because you cant do it just through UO. So I run until i get a good enough distance between myself and whatever's chasing me, and even if you're running from one thing into other things, you dont typically get agro'd immediately as you come onto screen anyway, so you do have time to hide most of the time. Whether im stealing from Players or dungeon walls, it works the same way. AND i can sacred journey into a nice nasty room full of stuff that wants me dead and never even show up until i've got what i came for.
