No New UO Memebers.

I have discovered through an issue I had with one of my systems that UO has an unresolved patching issue. It seems if you download the classic client from the UO site that you can not seem to patch. I was able to work around this by coping my UO folder from another system. But this will hurt UO in new player start ups. I tested this on 3 systems and all claimed to be patched but were indeed NOT pacthed correctly. The UO File copied needed to be pacth only from a few patches back and worked fine and updates as if should. But if you patching from a ways back you get a report that it is complete but is not. This should be fix ASAP or EA will be lossing even more and our game will suffer from lack of new blood. New players that find UO but may not know about startic are doomed to fail apon install. If I did not have a copy to move to my system then I would still not be playing today.

You sure you ran them as administrator?

I run the CC on many machines and have no problems. Neither on Windows 7 or Windows XP.

How recent Is recent enough? Did it on the....2nd of Dec?

Edit: Also did the OP try to patch more than once? Sometimes the patcher will "finish patching" up to a point, then when you run the patcher again it will see all the uo files are not up-to-date as they should be and will patch the rest.

i tested this TODAY. This has nothing to do with rights. This is a patch issue reporting wrong.

Tested and failed to patch on. XP-Vista-Win7.. It is a patch reporting error. This will effect all new player.

hell, they don't care about Current players, what makes you think they give a d*** about New ones.

but yeah, I hear ya - How many gig do you end up d/l'ing (total) when you start from scratch like that?
