No Christmas Event :/

I have to say I was hoping for some sort of fun in the Christmas spirit on Atlantic but nothing really happened today.... I ended up running a Navery hunt and gave away 1M gold along with a Artifact 11 item. Sub prizes included two house addons in the manner or a distillery and an arcane circle. I wish there was more involvement from the staff of .. damn.. i used to call it OSI but now i have no clue what to call this...

as a player, we need more events..... I am sure everyone will back me up on this. Please hold more events that dont suck devs!!!! Oh and fix Navery...she willl not drop eyes when yo have the quest..

Christmas events do not need to be runned by the devs, Player events can be great too

Right Freja, but alot of people remember when the game was more active. think 2008 halloween with 3 active live event quests, or the solstice stag / mutated elf. Atlantic 2010 christmas Eve event for those who were actually playing on christmas eve. I understand both sides. we have no staff now, and those staff propbably dont want to work on christmas, but come on Logging on UO and doing an event / giving out gifts isnt exactly "Work" Even with the low number of staff number there could have been something Just dont have stuff like that anymore but people do remember it. We had great holiday themed shard events this year (imo much better than last years generic toy soldier clicky)

I dont think mesanna celebrates christmas, so maybe since its not a holiday for her she could have done some stuff. oh well. The great years of a full, active dev team are just behind us. at this point, like everyone says, just to have the game not shut down is pretty much all we can expect.

Our EM on LS did a nice little event. Some evil Grinch stole presents. Encourage your EM to come up with something each holiday? We didn't receive any prize, but just having fun was good enough.

Yea, who needs to spend time with their family, they should have had events ON Christmas!

I mean, Atlantic had their christmas themed event on the 20th....I mean, do you believe those guys? They need to be doing that stuff Christmas day instead!

Program it in to be a recurring event. No staff are required for us to hunt pumpkins on Halloween night. Nor for us to kill to get skeletons on Halloween night. No staff was required for anythbing we did Thanksgiving...the turkeys were there.

Perhaps a switch to turn on Christmas for a month, with a semi rare chance of any overland mob dropping a gift? Only dev time required then would be a little while each year maybe to stick in a little different gift. I'm no programmer, but I wouldn't think it would be too intensive to rehue/rename some already existing graphic (they do it alla time lol)

Atlantic EM couldnt even decorate luna bank let alone set up an event, anyone thought maybe our EM is jewish or a jehovah witness?

Maybe he's busy with school or real life stuff? I know Origin's EM has been VERY busy with school and finals etc. and I'd rather him deal with that. Origin did get a mini Christmas-Themed event with *A Grinch in a Box* as the drop, was short and sweet and MANY deaths lol but it was all he could do with the time he had and it was awesome. But you must remember that it's Christmas and maybe his real life is more important. I know it's not what you want to hear. Our Luna wasn't decorated either but I was spending time with my kids and my family so UO had to wait

im sure the EM's would have loved to do more but too many people would have been upset when they received coal and then the complaints would have started.
