Why not cherry pick those deals? I only do IDOCs to save the stuff and redistribute it to players new and old. People move on... Let them. I agree that we should focus on those still here, and those coming here.
I am not going to ignore any single thing that I might use to help breath life into this shard.

Yes Sprago that makes perfect sense...let's leave the items people are selling at a good price and find a spot that has the same for much more gold!!
This way perhaps the newer members of the shard get less items to compete for their limited funds and the established vet's get wealthier

I am just saying it is what it is. None of us can do anything about that. People leave. Sometimes they come back. Sometimes not.
If good deals are to had from those leaving... grab them and redistribute.
I can tell you many have left their Siege goods in my care when they left. In hopes that I would use them well. I feel I have.

Items are worth more then gold 99% of the time... Gold is on EVERYTHING some of the items don't spawn like vet rewards... or old things of value... that the new players wont ever be able to get if we don't acquire them first... we can get gold when ever we want whats a few hours of gold farming? nothing compared to a 10 year vet reward ankh of sacrifice...
I understand the direction your coming form and you have good intentions but as a business major I gotta tell you I think your being a bit near sighted... look to the future =)

I'm torn on this, on one hand I do agree with spargo, in the case of items that ARE available from other players for reasonable prices at least, why simply let the gold rot in the account of someone who will never be using it? On the other hand, those that are leaving, the sooner they leave the better (please read on, this is NOT to be rude). They already are not playing siege, and many of them have houses/equipment that would be of great benefit to the players still here and our many new players, so the sooner we buy them out so they can move on the better.

Either they trade it with someone on Siege or coming to Siege or they don't
To be honest...it's better to have the gold disappear from the economy than being used...there is way too much gold in this game to begin with. It drives prices up and makes people fearful of wearing decent gear in the game
Perhaps the wording of this thread should have been please stop undercutting the prices on my vendors...I want people to buy from me so that I get wealthier not someone else

As we all know there's always a possibility someone who 'has every intention to quit Siege' will return, it makes their return more probable if they have something to come back to.

Hm, I've brokered two gold/item trades over the past couple of weeks. Two NEW wanted to get a decent amount of gold on Siege (for housing or whatever) and they had gold/items on other shards which players who have been here for a while wanted - on other shards.
