alrighty while using ninjitsu you can use animal form and turn into a form that gives you mounted speed while in that form

now my question is...if you move at mounted speed and have a greater drag can the drag keep up with you?

Nope. Most common tactic is to leave the GD behind and run until safe and either pet ball it to you or use the log out and back in method.
