Ninja skill levels and need

Hi all,

I'm finishing off my Nox-ninja-thief-assassin and was wondering how high I should take Ninjitsu? I'm currently approaching the 90 mark and am scrolled to 110.

What do most of you guys use and what is your skill level? I was thinking mostly I'll be using animal form, shadow jump and maybe the odd offensive skill-spell for assassinations.

Thanks!

Id say take it to 110 or higher:
- If you try to hit someone with poison stars/darts , it uses your ninjitsu as the attack skill. They dont do you any good unless you can hit with them, so the higher the skill the better

- The effectiveness of surprise attack, focus attack, & deathstrike (see below for more onthis one) are all scaled based on your ninjitsu skill
- If you plan to deathstrike you need 110 ninjitsu at a minimim. (Even at 110 you will fail and waste the 30 mana 75% of the time.) NOTE: Deathstrike damage is based on ninjitsu, hiding, & stealth (plus a stray tracking modifier if you have the target tracked.) If you dont have good ninjitsu, hiding, & stealth then dont deathstrike.
- The effectiveness of mirror images and dog/cat form hp regen is scaled based on your ninjitsu skill.
- If you want to be able to go into wolf form or higher with any real reliability you want at least 110 ninjitsu

EDIT - I noticed you said nox ninja. Since ninjas can poison with stars/darts already, the poisoning skill is a waste of points on a ninja char. Have another char poison the stars/darts for your ninja or buy them from a vendor. Ninja templates are tight on skill points and you could use the points you have tied up in poisoning in a lot better ways

Thanks for the input. My character also has fencing, using dreads revenge for the infectious and armour ignore so that's why I have poisoning on the template too.

I'm trying to go a bit crazy with this character and cram an huge amount of skillpoints into them whilst still being effective at what they do. It will mostly be for defense, but I would like to attempt a little assissination too!

I'll post a screenie of my template when I've finished!
