Ninja Question

Hail Sosarians,

I have yet to explore the Ninja skills. At present I am interested in obtaining animal form abilities. Being ignorant of Ninjs abilities and skills I am seeking any comments pertaining to templates that include ninja skilla...from complete ninja warrior templates to unique templates using only some ninja skills with special comments pertaining to emphasis mainly upon use of the animal forms abilities.

I am considering creating a "character" that may only ever appear in animal forms (for roleplay).

All suggestions are invited and solicited...with thanks.

An Sos

p.s. character will appear mainly upon Baja...but may appear on any/every shard

For roleplaying purposes, I've used ninjitsu quite a bit from portraying werewolves using the wolf form to portraying bullywugs (frog race from D&D) using the frog form. We've also roleplayed ophidians using the snake form. It requires some imagination on the part of those you're roleplaying with, but it opens up great story opportunities.

The big drawback for roleplaying is you can't really use other magics while in the animal form. Thus you're pretty much limited to warrior templates. It makes it difficult to play an ophidian matriarch mage using this sort of mechanism.

Many of the other ninja abilities rely upon stealth and hiding as well, as one might expect for a ninja. I do often use the skills on our druids, primarily for the animal forms, though I do imagine druids to be crafty in their woodslore and thus able to move silently.

I was able to train up ninjitsu pretty quickly so I just suggest tinkering with it and see what works for you. Test Center is also a great place to learn more about skills.
