I love the in-game casinos, but never really cared about real world gambling, which is weird. I'm very analytical about it though, I don't get into the excitement factor of it, just the winning as much as possible part.Wow, there really aren't any other UO playing betting types on stratics? I was sure there would be with all of those in-game casinos.

Out of all the casinos in UO over the years, I have never left one with less gold than I came in with. My strategy for that is very simple, I'll start with a 1m bet. If I win then I have 2m, and I will take 1m back, guaranteeing that it is now impossible to lose anything since I'm playing with 100% profit, and keep playing from there. Every time I win, I keep at least 25% of it usually, guaranteeing some profit with zero risk of losing it all in one bad round.
I believe I still also hold the record for most wins in a row at any UO casino. I started with my usual 1m bet at Mr. Nice's casino, and by some weird combination of luck and intuition, won 27 times straight (and took half or more of it back occasionally to not lose it all of course). I ended up making about 2.5 billion off that original 1m bet, in less than an hour.
I had to stop at 27 wins because the casino was almost out of gold heh... we decided to keep going without bets just to see how high the win streak would get... ironically, the very next roll I lost for the first time. The odds of that are incredible.
I did some calculations later... if I had started with an original bet of just 1,000 gold and went double or nothing all 27 times without ever taking any of it back.... I would have won about 132 billion that day.
Starting with a 1 million bet, it would have been 134 trillion gold, which is ridiculously insane.
I also got a special prize, which I treasure as a memory of that day:
