Whirl Pool Investigations

Commander Drake Foxx met the eager citizens at the Jhelom docks around
8 o'clock. He jumped upon the table and addressed those who were
gathered about the current situation and what needed to be done.

"An Enemy force has challenged the order by the Royal Navy! They are
ready to die for their cause. We don't know who or what they are but
they are deadly! They've surrounded the entire pillar."

Objectives

- Destroy the enemy Force and sink their fleet.
- Open a passage for the recovery Ship.
- Explore the Whirl Pool entrance.

Once the objectives were heard the citizens set off towards the serpents
pillar. Getting out of the port was a bit tricky as some ships bumped into
each other. Perhaps some of the sailors were "Green Horns".

Once arriving at the Serpents Pillar the crews were faced with some
powerful ships. Most if not all of the enemy vessels out gunned the the
newly created fleet under the command of Commander Drake Foxx.

The first engagement was not a good sight. A few crews abandoned their
ships to board enemy vessels only to find instant death. Others took
refuge on nearby boats that had larger crews. Once everyone started
to get use to sea battle they began to sink enemy ships one by one.

As each vessel went under they gave off a larger explosion shock wave
that shook nearby vessels. Few reports came in of people being thrown
overboard and washed ashore but were able to rejoin the battle by citizen
gates and special created Navy gates.

Some lucky citizens were able to find special loot on the captains corpses
like a "Harpoon" and "Navigator's Tricorne" Once the enemy vessels were
taken care of the crews were ordered to enter the Whirl Pool.

They were faced with under water creatures called Dihydrogen Monoxite
and Deep seas serpents. The creatures were dispatched quickly but the
crews found themselves at underwater dam made of boulders

Command Drake Foxx ordered the crews back to the Jhelom launching point
to discuss ways to penetrate the boulders. The first attempt made was
explosion potions but they had little to no effect. Some began pushing on
the boulders but they would not budge.

Once they exhausted their ideas Drake Foxx announced he would contact
Lord Balandar to construct a "Bomb" with sufficient explosive power.
We all eagerly await to hear word about the completion of the device.

Reporter Comments

Let it be known that sea battles and sinking a enemy vessel has been
something requested for many years. EM Dudley fulfilled a very old wish of
many players. I hope to see MANY more of these sea events!

We got to walk on water!!!! Who hasn't wanted to walk on the water
before? *Smiles* Another thing I thought was rather cool was the under
water tunnel. Something I have never seen before in Ultima Online.

The event did come with a major problem. The pets going poof but for
comments on this news story lets try to keep it to the storyline and the
creativeness of the adventure.

I wasn't at the event but was in vent with guildmates who were and the minute I heard underwater tunnel I had them gate me in. I was very impressed. This is the 2nd event where the deco'd area has knocked me out (the other was the event after the treasure hunt contest). To whichever EM was responsible for those: WELL DONE and KEEP IT UP!
