[News] Virtuebane Event

Head up Siege players, Mesanna herself has recruited EMs from other shards to enact a Virtuebane event on Siege. This will be held this Tuesday, March 29th at 7pm PST, 9pm CST. The previous events on other shards have started at Brit Castle and moved to Magincia for the event. So get your boats ready to sail and your toons ready to fight!

I tried to get screen shots of everything Mesanna said this afternoon. Sorry it's kinda ugly looking. I'm also posting a few shots of several of us killing (or in my case, recuperating from trying to kill) some of the stuff Mesanna spawned; a shot of Ricardo's pie stand and the Humble Pie he's handing out (one per character); and the gump for the moongate near Ricardo.

I missed part of the conversation, but I think the fighting might be around the bank instead of in Magincia. Maybe someone who actually saw more of that part of the conversation with Mesanna near the Magincia moongate can clarify.

I get off work at 11:00 p.m. exactly. I will walk in the door to my home at 11:30 p.m. If indeed the event happens at 10:00 p.m. as "Shh!" says then I will most likely miss it. Unless the battle is still going on.

Please, please, please... I need someone to confirm for me as quickly as possible. I live in Ohio. I am EST zone. So, does the Virtuebane event start at 8:00 pm in the EST?

Well 'hopefully' I can make it, armed with my 'weapons of mass destruction' of sewing kits and tinker tools !

ATM we are awaiting news from my lost somewhere in the deep south, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, whom have told us they will supposidly get up here to meet up with us 'sometime' today.

No clue where they ARE, cuz yesterday she told us they were in *Macon* Mississippi, only Macon we know of is in Georgia !

They don't know where they are, so neither do we ! LOL

We are supposed to see em today for lunch or whenever...they find their way up here. He is originally from Alabama so hopefully he knows how to find Mississippi or his GPS in their car can find Mississippi, from wherever they were last night lost.
It could be tonite, or this afternoon or whenver that we have company from Montana, lost or found...or NOT ! Chances are good we will have to go find them today, sometime, to see em at all. rolleyes:

I am going to assume that the event will end up at Magincia, unless anyone can say other wise? I assume the battle will be at Magincia island.

The consensus in General chat yesterday seemed to be the event should start out in Britain, hopefully by the west bank and will then move to Magincia.

The regular moongate system won't get you to or from Magincia. However, saying "Fel Magincia Mint" to a crystal portal dumps you out close to the old bank location. There's also a big brown/black teleporter pad with "sparklies" hovering over it placed in the grass at the south end of Magincia (close to where you used to walk down to the docks) which is still linked to a similar pad near the Trinsic docks. When I checked last night, both pads still worked for moving between the two towns. It's also an easy boat road from Ocllo to Magincia but don't know if there are any special rules in place for parking boats around Magincia. I noticed 3-4 NPC wandering healers (mostly red ones, and hopefully of the respawning type) lingering near the dead moongate.

I marked runes at a couple of locations around the island last night and plan to leave them with an alt character tucked away in a healer's shop in case of an "emergency" tonight. Probably something you guys routinely do for stuff like this here, right? Now if I just have the patience to live with my gals' still-spluttery gate-casting skills and can get magery on the one that will actually be in Magincia high enough to rez once in a while I'll be all set for some fun! I'll probably miss the start of things, but am hoping to be able to lend a hand here and there tonight with people and pet rezzes, since those poor dumb bouras my newbie tamer has are very unlikely to be able to stand up to much of the spawn tonight (blackrock golems, ancient hell hounds, ethereal avengers, VirtueBane and who knows what else). Don't want Magincia to end up looking like a UO-style buffalo hunting ground.

Nevermind, was just me. Seeing 4 Napa Valleys helped clue me in to restarting the client.

And I can confirm that the teleport at the Trinsic docks works just fine.

Don't usually bother to attend events at 3am, but seeing as this is the first official event we've had in ages, I'd tried to make an effort.

I appreciate the work Mesanna did to get other EMs to help (kinda forced tho i'm guessing as they probably wouldn't have bothered) but I just want someone official to come here and apologise.

I'm probably being petty, but anyone can spend a few minutes on these boards and work out that some devoted Siege players don't play in the USA.
