The Gathering of the Festival of the Grapes
As word circulated that EM’s Quantum and Autolycus wanted to recognize the Festival of the Grapes on April 15, the town of Yew was in need of preparation at Ye Old Winery next to the Empath Abbey. When I arrived it was with great pleasure to see the Winery updated with new and exciting things to see.
Tables were set out with a variety of wines for tasting and even some special cheeses to enhance the palette. Q&A did a great job with the help of Stupid Miner and Crysta setting things up for the gathering. Even Nathan Carter the Legendary Tracker had a seat by the fire with a rabbit on a spit and I’m sure was eager to share his stories as well.
Many showed to socialize and recognize the history of Sosaria with conversation and a little bit of gaming. I hosted a Let’s Make a Deal with contestants Baldy, Taresis, John Cambridge, Luna, Cassandra and Daamen all walking away with prizes.
It was a very relaxing evening and a chance to simply enjoy the company. It is with much appreciation that the citizens of Lake Superior had an opportunity to be enlightened by some history due to the efforts our EM’s. We hope this becomes a yearly event!
